Miscers, is your job also one of your hobbies?

It would be ideal as hell if the job/industry that shapes your income happens to also be a fun hobby for you.

Imagine:
- brb getting excited about learning
- brb interested in keeping up with latest trends
- brb practicing your skills even on your own time to the point where you're essentially a master at it
- brb you're a high income earner due to the above ^
- brb usually having fun at work

It'd be like Goku or Batman or some chit. Always investing time into yourself, growing at faster paces than everyone else because they just play video games and drink beer.

My hobby is researching companies and investing in them.

I can't imagine anything more stifling than working full time for Wall Street

BRB 80 hr work weeks
BRB your job is to prepare slideshows for your boss so he can briefhisboss, the actual decision-maker.
BRB working with a bunch of selfish greedy wannabe alpha cokeheads (genuinely hate people like this)
BRB limited to a specific specialty (JFL @ being confined to researching Panamanian shipping company bonds full time)
BRB everyone is overweight and low test with a terrible diet due to aforementioned 80 hr work weeks

Nah I just work for money.

Chit is different when you do it for money, but you can still be passionate about your work.

both my full time job and side hustle (completely different domains) are/were my hobbies

They're still work but I don't dread either of them. It's not all sunshine but the process is enjoyable (or as enjoyable as you want it to be)

That would be amazing! But no, I think that may be like 1% of the population.

Most of the things we actually enjoy have no marketplace/economic value. That’s life son

Agreed. I never want to do what I love for a job again. Now if it was an occassional gig, that's different, but not as my primary source of income.
