How are people even supposed to afford Supercars?

They’re so incredibly expensive that anyone who works a regular job will struggle to even save a 1/4 of what’s required.

I’m not talking about hypercars either. More like 458, 488, huracan, R8 etc. Those cars look amazing, but if I get one, I’ll be way older lol.

If you're working a regular job, having a supercar should be at the 10th circle of hell of least things to worry about. If anything it should be motivation.

and for the 4 FIRE Movement advocates, or anyone that's smart with cash, if you're going with the 1/10th rule with cars you accept that 99% of people who get cars they really can't afford are just looking for vanity, for transportation that loses value the second it leaves the lot.

I thought Porsche an interesting story. When they were merged with VW it was found they were losing money on the cars they sold, reportedly. Porsche was basically a hedge fund making money on currency trading. With VW ownership, Porsche has to make money on their cars. So ever since that merger Porsche's prices keep going higher and higher. Porsche prices were never comparable to the corvette in the past, but they were somewhat close. That is no longer the case today.

My bros wife.. her parents, more specifically the dad..

Buys those as his "toys". Has had ferrari, lambo, porsche, etc. Exchanges them every few years

Think hes largely concluded theyre not worth it though. Think hes stopped

First of all, tons of $$ for maintenance. Second of all, cant just park it anywhere. Third of all, cant really use it like you want. Etc., etc.

Now, generally people that can afford them have money to burn but just saying..
