What I'm noticing more and more is that all the people here who are harshly anti-vaccine do two things:

1. They DOWNPLAY the dangers of COVID (even if the overall risk to healthy people is absolutely low in terms of death)
2. They EXAGGERATE the dangers of the vaccine

This leads to a very odd line of reasoning where you basically are MORE than happy to be out in close proximity to people during a pandemic (because apparently COVID is 'no big deal'), and yet you're now going on the other crazy end saying that - in fact - not only are the vaccines 'not safe' or even 'deadly' to those getting them, but you're fabricating BS to totally flip the script so that now it's the VACCINATED people who are spreading some kind of mystery 'shredding' particles into the ether.

What's next, the vaccines turn the frogs gay? The vaccines reverse the polarity of the earth? The vaccines slapped your mom in the face?

I'm ALL for healthy criticism, but it's so damn ridiculous.

You take a concept like, "Oh, look, it's obvious SOME people feel bad, and in extremely rare cases die from the vaccine"...

And somehow spin it into: The vaccine is a fukking poison that will leach into the blood of those within a 5 miles radius and make your balls fall off.

I just don't get it... it's like how children think... so weird that adults exist nowadays with this kind of delusion.





These vaccines just trigger your body to make proteins, your immune system then makes anti-bodies which flag your immune system to then destroy those proteins until they're totally GONE from your body.

You're then left with B cells that can make more anti-bodies if you happen to be exposed to COVID later... that's where the protection comes from.

They aren't different from other vaccines OTHER THAN the means by which they trigger your immune system, and even that novel trigger (mRNA) gets destroyed shortly after it is injected.



I'm just baffled by the silliness in there.. it's like a fukking storybook.

Here are my stances on the vaccine, or the main points anyway. If you need more clarity or have a specific question, let me know:

1. The vaccine is, statistically, less dangerous than getting COVID by any known measure.

2. There is ZERO evidence to suggest anyone getting the vaccine (1) can SHED particles to someone else, (2) that it's not as effective as the studies show, (3) that there would be long term side effects. For #3, obviously we don't know for sure, but we ALSO don't know all the long term side effects from COVID. HOWEVER, we DO KNOW some of the medium-term side-effects of COVID, and they are way more severe than whatever we've seen so far in anyone getting the vaccine (lung scarring, heart issues, cognitive issues, nerve issues, and many more). So logically, if we follow that trend, we should also suspect any potential long term issues from a vaccine to be less severe than that of getting COVID.

3. Knowing that a pharma company has, in the past, done something wrong or unethical, does not mean every single action they take or thing they produce is going to harm you. What it does mean isyou SHOULD be skeptical, and individual degrees of skepticism will vary... but let's notautomaticallyassume a vaccine is a play to control or kill people just because it has a brand attached to it.

4. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT FORCE YOU TO GET THE VACCINE. I am 100% against that. I am totally for bodily autonomy. But when it comes to private companies, etc, they can make their own choices. If a company wants to set a rule, that's their choice, just like it's your choice to not get the vaccine. That's fine.



My motivation, which I've stated many times, in getting vaccinated is that - as soon as possible - I want return to 'normal life' or as close as I can ASAP, especially this summer. This means eating out, going to movies, traveling (possibly abroad), going to parties, BBQs, you get the idea.

If I did the above things openly, without a mask also, in an un-vaccinated state, I would have a VERY high chance of getting COVID which - as I said - has far more possible issues than getting vaccinated... in fact i'd almost guarantee I'd get it. So, if vaccines exist which can offer 95% protection with FAR less known risks, in addition to possibly opening up the chance to travel etc... well, the choice seems obvious.

And sure you can argue 'we don't know all the risks'... so what? We don't 'know all the risks' with COVID either! But from what we DO know, it's far worse than any vaccine reaction could ever be. And to be honest, the more people come out making BS conspiracy theories against it, there more confident I feel in my decision, because the childish cries and fear-mongering of an uneducated minority with zero scientific or medical training aren't what I listen to.

Doctors and scientists can 'speak out' against it, cool. We SHOULD listen to them. However, if you have - say - 1% of the TOTAL scientific community (all of which who are NOT EVEN INVOLVED IN THE TESTING PROCESS OF THE VACCINE) saying 'oh it's a bad idea to get the vaccine' while 99% of the total scientific community is pro-vaccine and ALL the scientists and doctors involved in the creation and testing say it IS a good idea... WHY would I believe the 1%? Why? Especially when their arguments are not compelling.

I don't just follow this tiny fringe community of conspiracy theorists because it's edgy or sexy or I feel like I can somehow intuit what the science says.

All these keyboard warriors trying to play doctor online are a fukking joke... you're trying to overthrow decades of medical research by some of the smartest people on the planet with your high-school education and a quick Google search and sound credible? please... give me a break.





If you don't want the vaccine because you're concerned. FINE.

But don't pretend to know the science or the facts. You're reading the news and studies you want, and in whatever frame of reference you want.
