Why didn't they do it sooner then?

First Mover Advantage in Crypto is a thing. There's no sign that Bitcoin will ever be dislodged. Let alone Ethereum being dislodged as Alt King.

Even the NEM thing in my username is still the #1 alternate in Japan and Ethereum / Ripple doesn't even bother trying to unseat NEM there anymore.

A lot of this weird first mover stuff in Crypto.

ETH is a inferior project compared to ADA. Look at those Gas fees

First mover advantage? look at how many coins are gone from 2017 run

Eth is like Netscape the browser

its the first but no where near the best.

On top of it the ADA founder literally was working on Eth

You mean Gavin Wood? Pretty sure he was the actual founder of Ethereum but Vitalik came in and removed him (and a bunch of other co-founders) in a metaphorical palace coup.

No, he's referring to Charles Podgkinson

The last gas fee on an ERC-20 I did was only $15 though. But I remember them being $60+. Not sure how that chit is calculated...

If it happens it happens.

So far I just think Cardano fanboys are just sour grapes who are mad at missing out on Ethereum so they're clinging onto a "MeToo" / "Descendent" / "Spiritual Successor" of Ethereum. This isn't new to Crypto a lot of people years ago would pump Litecoin because in their minds they came in too late for Bitcoin.

Calling Ethereum โ€œNetscapeโ€ is a pretty weird analogy considering crypto is still in very early speculative adoption stages.

ETH has clear first mover advantage, it has high usage, and a thriving developer community. Cardano is overpriced as it stands with barely any usage and horrible developer experiences. Maybe itโ€™ll get better, but it ainโ€™t on the verge of being an โ€œEth killerโ€. It isnโ€™t even in the same league.

ETH 2.0 or decent second layer rollup will be another brutal blow to Ada once the โ€œhigh gas feesโ€ argument no longer holds water.

lots of projects on Eth can be transferred over to ADA easily with the new update

also we saw the rise of BNB that there is no loyality in crypto. Lots of ppl can abandon ship easily.

only time will tell but ADA has much more upside than ETH IMO.

You buy it and forget about it. LOL if you think you are going to day trade it and come out ahead in the long run.
