Ice never done front squat, only back. Should I incorporate them? I was going to start doing hack squats tbh in addition to back squats

Thanks guys

Should you do front squats ? That depends. I do them because

- I only so squat patterns that have the least amount of hinge to them: Front squats.. Hip belt squats.. SSB split squats etc for the sake of quad hypertrophy (check out greg knuckols hip squat continuam)

- They carry over to BBing and strongman and if I decide to do PLing again, my back squat goes up

Basically bro

A low bar squat isn't a pure squat. It is a mix of hinge and squat

Like the sumo deadlift isnt pure hinge. It's both.

Glute / posterior chain work is:
Romanian deadlift
Stiff leg dead
Ssb good morning

In saying all that.. there IS glute involvement just not as much in say my hip belt squat / front squat.

Bro for real, can't believe how much weaker I am without a belt and sleeves. Especially sleeves. I've got "meh" knees. Stoked with this. Will aim for that 2x bw in a few months

Tbh brah I think your method of minimizing hip hinge movements is biting you in your ass. Look at that valgus collapse that's the equivalent of hitching up a deadlift... Really likely to get injured squatting like that. This happens when your hips are too weak and the quad takes over the movement. If you did more movements that involved glutes you could actually use them to keep your knees out and avoid a major injury. Anyway congrats on the PR but really consider doing some hip dominant movements for a while to balance yourself out.

Sorry bruv but I disagree.

This is a MAX for me - form WILL break down. Trust me, if I put sleeves and belt on, the whole valgus collapse wouldn't happen (which btw isn't even a bad thing as majority of people think)

Plus, I do romanian deadlifts, stiff leg deadlifts and good mornings in my program. I know you're just trying to help, but you couldn't be more assuming and wrong.

Thanks bruv
