I only own 6 ETH because I'm an indexcel, but I'm glad I at least have some stake in this party. I bought ETH after learning about DeFi, NFTs, and how it actually had use cases beyond transferring money, unlike Bitcoin. While I don't think DeFi/NFTs will totally upend banking, etc., which is how a lot of the mega crypto bulls feel, I do think these apps have niche use cases and I'm hoping that I still bought in early enough to ride this train to some good money.

ETH was the first crypto I bought in mid-2017 after researching it. It is the infrastructure/platform for dApps. Buying dApps tokens directly is riskier (although I have a handful as lottery tickets).

I only bought BTC originally in late-2017 as a volatility hedge, once I noticed how the markets reacted when BTC was bullish.

DOGE should fall in the same way.
Bought DOGE at .018 and sold at around .80 thinking I did great. Would be sitting 20 grand now lol. Oh well not ashamed of taking a 4.5x profit tho.

Doge never went above 0.43 so it's impossible to sell it at 0.80. Unless you means 0.08

Eh I think your decision was fine. ETH is a solid long term investment into blockchain tech, DOGE isn't. It's more in lottery ticket meme land.

Yeah bought ETH with the money sold from DOGE at $1800ish. Had a little more from $1400ish. If it dips to $2500 or so will buy more. Thst is likely the next low I bet. But who knows.

See the thing is it sucks to only be up a few hundred K when you could be up a couple million if you hadn't done stupid ****. Like if I had just kept the BTC that I had at the end of 2020, I'd be up an additional $1.8m on top of what I have today... If I had kept my BTC from 2 years ago, I'd be up like 3M over what I am today... if I had kept my LEND I had in 2017 that I sold like $60k, I'd have 3M on top of everything else today. Shoulda, woulda, coulda... So yeah it's nice to have a decent amount of $ in crypto, but sucks to look back and see what it could have been had I not tried to beat the system.

Thatโ€™s a negative perspective issue. I suggest you address it just in case itโ€™s creeping into other areas of your life (Iโ€™d assume yes). Interestingly, I tend to do this for some other areas of life but not investing/finance.

When I click buy or sell (or donโ€™t buy/sell) itโ€™s a conscious decision and not a mistake. One way you can resolve this is to be content and very intentional with the decision at the time. Itโ€™s the best decision with the present information at hand. Commit to it, recall it was well reasoned, then in the future you wonโ€™t have regrets.

Does anyone even remember when ethereum was at an all time low at just $125 at the height of the pandemic in March 2020??

I just learned of this and had a "what if" moment. smh.

Can you Coincels help me SRS made a thread about this earlier talking about how I found out about crypto EARLY as fook due to silk road and never thought much of it and checked on it later and it had barley done anything after a couple years and then all of a sudden BTC is at 50k and I am priced out I know I am late and priced out but any advice SRS is it over for me are there any gains left SRS I really don't believe in crypto long term but FUARK could've had some life changing gains and secured some crazy wealth way ahead of when i'd ever come close to earning it through traditional investments SRS I know this is about ETH but either way SRS.

\I didn't go into much detail in my comment since I went into a bit more detail in the thread I made and that was futile so tried to keep it short because I know some of the mouth breathers on here literally can't read anything longer then 3 words SRS I have invested in crypto before and didn't do very well despite having fairly good technical analysis I guess my timing was just off or something but long term I have a hard time believing this will stick around for a long time but the gains in the mean time are to JOOCY to pass up so I wanna talk to somebody that has made some good money or knows a little bit more to me because things have played out a lot different then I expected in some ways and I wanna understand my mistakes and maybe where I went wrong so I can potentially have a chance at making some JOOCY gains if even possible still SRS.

Nothing wrong with investing what you can afford to lose. Put 10% of your checks into something like ethereum every week

I agree completely I wouldn't consider my crypto an asset or investment more so a short term bet considering it would most likely be fairly stupid to have any level of real wealth STORED in crypto. I honestly thought it was going to go away and I couldn't have been happier but it came back and I am starting to feel like I misjudged the entire situation to a degree based solely on my bad experience and my opinions and I don't want that to stop me from making some JOOCY gains SRS.
