at the new residential developments you have armed guards protecting the area cuz wood prices have sly rocketed and literally just piles of plywood and 2x4's out in the open house after house. lots of single developments getting robbed as well. like, way more then usual, lol

Normally, yes, unless it is hunting season.... but owners got a federal nuisance permit and listed any employee of our company to shoot them if need be.

Tough to get a permit, but doable. A few people around here have them.

That's phuckin nuts. I swear we are living in the 2nd Great Depression, the other day I saw this thing about armed cops being deployed to protect dumpsters from hungry homeless people. Imagine being so desperate you gotta steal 2x4s. That's on another level from tweakers stealing copper wiring.

It's the same thing with firing employees for giving food to the homeless. The business owner sees it as a possible litigation risk. If the homeless person eats the discarded food and gets sick then they could get sued. It's not really likely though as hungry people begging for food aren't exactly the type to have lawyers.

Massive amounts of good food are thrown into land fills just to protect the profit margins of business owners. Sometimes huge portions of farm produce are wasted just because they aren't the right shape for grocery shelves. Chit is just disgusting.
