company says i have to show up on the last day, need an excuse to not have to

brb getting laid off but oh well need that excuse

have like 3 weeks vacation to burn which i will beforehand meaning i could go fuk off in alaska that whole time but nooo have to be back here for my last day july 27th wut do

There’s plenty of jobs out there. I could leave mine tomorrow and have another by Monday. No need to go on unemployment or work for morons with high school diplomas like OP is. HR said they ask us to self report our new wage (if we got rehired by the new company taking over) and if it was "close enough" to our old one they wouldnt give a severance

we do facility maintenace on a commercial building and i got an offer but these cawksukkers lowballed me like $5hr from $35 to 30/hr

brb lied to every last one of us, one dude moved here from russia, me from ohio, for a job that didnt even last one year (proof they knew it was a 50/50 shot they knew it was temporary and even admitted it in a zoom call i and others recorded)

yeah bro give them grace thir only human they dindunuffin, was total accident

basically they billed the facility owner 3x our salary for every hour we were on the clock so they had every incentive to get people here regardless of whether job was temporary or not, and not say **** about it til 2-3 months beforehand then oops guise sorry our mistake jobs going away, and oh by the way the new company is cutting everyones salary by 10-11k and we may not even give you a severance
