Just use your secret weapon.

Might have to size up for a black bear or a Moose.

I'm not an expert on bears but it seems like blasting it in the face with a horn would just piss it off.

Blowing an air-horn time to time while your walking keeps them moving up range as you go. Black bears are generally pussies, if you come around a corner and surprise a black bear mostly you just see a black ass running away as fast as they can. Ive come up on one with an ATV and it immediately jumped off a bluff and ran for as long as I watched it

The pepper spray is for the grizzly bear, you season yourself up so you get eaten faster. I figure charge in with your head first so you dont have to watch him start from your feet.

Is it not legal in Canada to just blast them if they come at you? I figure .500 S&W Mag would get the job done easy enough.

It doesn't. Told the Mr. that if he bought one more gun, I'd use it on him. Now he's buying holsters, belts for holsters, ammo, gun magnets...it is ridiculous.

It never really stops. I haven't bought anything new in about a year since the prices skyrocketed and never came down. I only have a few more guns on my really have to have it list though. I still want an AK (I could fukn punch myself for not getting one when they were $500), a Kel Tec KSG (super fun shotgun) and a 12 gauge with a 28 inch barrel I can use as a dedicated dove gun ( I have a 24 inch turkey gun I just swap the chokes out on right now). I went from one GAS straight to another though. Instead of buy guns I've been on a guitar kick that has finally cooled down for me. Once the prices come back down I plan on buying all 3 of the guns I listed above though

I'm overly cautious when it comes to wild animals. The only things we have here are hogs but I'm still packing heat when I walk through the woods

For sure.

Black bear country if I was on ATV I wouldnt bother, like I said they are low risk.

Closer to the mountains in brown bear country a shotgun with slugs is more typical.

Up in white bear country first guy out of the chopper and last guy into the chopper has a Remington 700 or better.

Gotcha. Arkansas has black bears and they're definitely big ol pussies but they'll sneak in at night and wreck your camp if you don't tie stuff up high.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/tThDxLg.jpg[/ig]
We have so many up here you get a little flippant about it, like big raccoons.

Wide open to hunt, some goofy kunts used to come up here to spear hunt them till one put it on instagram and everyone freaked out.

When I did camp back country you kept everything tied high to keep bear out, and a shotgun in the camper in case you needed to encourage one to beat it.

Oh!! A gun magnet!! That would be great for why I got a 2nd pistol.

And you said no new guns so he’s being a good boy!!

Spoiler!

I kinda know what you mean.

I went into Cal Ranch for ammo. They don’t usually price gauge weapons or ammo and I was standing at the counter I saw the G3 and held it and it has more weight than my G2C and they fixed the trigger and the mag slide was so smooth I just whipped out my card cause $300 which is what they cost.

My AR I spent 800 cause it’s a smith and Wesson and I ordered it online. Figure it’s a little steep for a 5.56 but not crazy. Well, I pulled the plug on it and bought it and **** you not RBG died and that model sold out, hard to find and usually carries a $100 more than what I paid for it.

My 300 win mag I also got from Cal but I bought that knowing I was upgrading the stock on it immediately.

I don’t see gun prices going down anytime soon.

I forgot about the G2C! I wanna get one of those bad boys too. My brother has one and uses it as his everyday carry even though its the cheapest pistol he owns. I almost bought one back when they were $170 but I built a P80 G21 instead. I don't think ARs and AKs are going back down until a Republican is back in the oval office but I think stuff that isn't in any danger of being banned like shotguns and pistols will come back down to earth

My edc is a G2C. Has a comfortable grip and I like that it has an external safety. Many rounds through it and never a single issue.

This is gonna be super weird to say especially since I loved my G2C enough to buy a G3.

BUT

Buy a G3. For the price point and accuracy and everything you can’t beat the G2C. The trigger is easily my biggest complaint on the stock G2C. An eternity to pull back enough to get the hammer to drop.

I had a issue recently with the rack not sliding back. But when I finally got the rack off there was a bunch of gunk on the slide so probably my fault. I went to the range and did a lot of mag dump speed drills and only did a field cleaning so yeah, pretty sure that’s a me problem.

So I upgraded the trigger for $60 and replace a couple of plastic parts for $30 cause plastic in a gun for defense just scares me. The mag also slides out but pretty slow. Like the well is just a **** hair too tight. On all 6 of my mags it takes a hot minute to slide out. But when I do speed drills the gun is awesome! Getting results I had with a beretta in the USMC.

Well and I added night sites but can’t knock it there cause you have to for almost all pistols if you want it.

The G3 the trigger had minimal distance to travel. Small reset window. I had a semi chubby then I pressed the mag release and it dropped out like a tampon rocket fueled by astroglide and I put down half of it and going back next week to pick it up.

Speaking of guns have you guys noticed how incredibly snobby the "gun community" is on other forums? Some of the most elitist pricks I've ever come across. I swear if I hadn't been raised hunting and shooting and just wanted to look into it as a hobby there is no way I ever would.

Oh god yeah!!

When I was looking for a long range I decided the best route was a Howa 1500 and I would upgrade the stock if I needed to.

Went to the range and hated stock. Not something I wanted to use to do 1000 yard shots with.

Went online to figure out what stock and all it was was people bagging on Howa 1500 and then all the stocks that were not $500 or more. To me that’s bull****. Don’t need a $500 stock to get into a good prone position and pull. Bought one for $175 and it actually also upgraded my stock to have a drop magazine.

But remember, we are talking about a current group of shooters who think they can shoot cause they can place their rifle in a sled, pull out a app and pull the trigger in a sled that won’t move at all and they wanna jerk off hard to how they “shot at a 1000 yards”.

That’s not shooting but whatever. Chris Kyle did all his **** without a app or a sled so it can be done without all those things. A dope card is all you need and you can figure out the rest.

It sucks because I'm sure there are a bunch of guys out there that would help us try to keep our rights but because of bad interactions they are either indifferent or staunchly anti gun now

For real. Not everybody needs a $5k AR. A simple PSA would be sufficient for 99% of gun owners. Using the guitar example it would be like telling a newbie that unless they have a custom shop Les Paul that they might as well find a new hobby.

Wow, G2C fans in here. You don't see many Taurus fans online. I think it's the "I paid more so I'm better than you" mantra.

I haven't bought anything in a few years. Mainly because Cali has castrated my choices via a stupid handgun roster and companies are starting to refuse to jump through those hoops. I don't blame them, but it sucks for me. I really want a G43
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

To be fair Taurus has produced some real stinkers in the past. In general any budget firearm is gonna catch a lot of hell from the tacticool internet bros. Hi-point gets clowned hard af even off the internet but their .45 carbine is actually a fun rifle to shoot. Reminds me of a cheap whore. Ugly as sin but still a good time.

Oh for sure! And those same idiots create the retards who think all gun people are nutso

Yup. I got a Ibanez Gio and so many people talk down on it. The humbuckers do suck and I blew one out cause I got extra heavy bottoms and I think it cause a bad magnetic reaction but i just go upstairs and **** around and play. I won’t be touring with offspring anytime soon. Lol

And the same when I was but my bolt actio. The ****ing pissing war between 6.5 creed and .308. Holy ****. It was hard to tell which one I wanted cause of all the dumb fighting.

THEN I stumbled across something that mentioned Chris Kyle insisted on and used 300 win mag. Said “hey if I go bison hunting that will drop one and im sure Kyle knows WAAAAYYYYYY more about long distance than a bunch of interweb know it all *******s. Like how are you all talking down on the round the most successful USA sniper used religiously?? Ok Jeff.

There a huge Supreme Court case coming in October that might **** Cali over reach so be prepared.

For the longest time I knew Vex and Gix owned a G2C. But you and Jamal were like the gayest fan boys for the G2C and I recall last year your reviews as well as vex’s nod of approval made me buy it.

Again, my above post about G3 > G2C better not be construed as the G2C is trash lol. It’s just the couple things I didn’t like the G3 does WAAAYYYYY better for $40 more.

I wouldn’t name and shame someone for buy a G2C.
