really weird situation and lots of unconfirmed information at this time but the shooter is a female that identifies as a male and had been bullied over it. supposedly she made a tik tok video saying she was going to do it, it was reported and she was suspended. then she went to school yesterday with pistol in her back pack. shot one female student once, one male student twice and the custodian once when he tried to protect another student. she was finally disarmed and taken down by a math teacher. this happened in a fairly small town called rigby, id, about 15 miles north of where i live and also where the shooter lives. the bomb squad was also at her house yesterday afternoon searching for some other madness. completely fukced situation

don't know. the press conference held yesterday afternoon provided very limited information. i can tell you that this is a very conservative area in a very red state and that a situation like that would not have been glanced over. glad that all of the victims are headed home today and there are some gofundme links out there if anyone is interested in donating

Murica gun laws aside... This is why 12 yos shouldnt be transitioning

dgaf about what adults do but 12 is not old enough to be making/dealing with these decisions and the ramifications. Wrong as bullying etc may be other kids that age dont understand or care about what it does to the victim

60 years ago there were just as many guns in the USA, yet these types of shooting did not happen


so to blame gun accessibility is incorrect


there has been a breakdown in society they causes people to act this way


my guess:

1. destruction of nuclear family (single parent households, divorces etc)
2. destruction of male identity (its not smart to sit young men in closed spaces all day in front of screens and or/listening to critical race theory anti men rhetoric from female teachers all day, men in the past had much more physical lives which I think made them more fulfilled and at ease srs)
3. pharmaceuticals
4. poor diets

Don't compare the United States with its 330 million people to some tiny nordic country with 9 million dairy farmers. Compare it to the EU as a whole - suddenly the violence that's common place in Italy, Ireland, southern Spain, the fukkin Balkans, etc seem to make America look a little better.
