Let's ignore for a moment the entire process of making a Renaissance statue, the use of calipers, pointing machines and all that chit. The fact that you fail to see the difference between a stick figure andfine anatomical detailis a bit weird considering you're high IQ. The metacarpal bones, phalanges and veins sticking out is just artistic freedom, perhaps even the sculptor's vivid imagination. Not unlike the sphinx. This is sarcasm.

But you're right. Statues are not photos. And neither are drawings. Let's examine two drawings:

Drawing A

Drawing B

They are identical are they not? If an alien was to ask you which representation of the human face was more accurate you'd say they're the same thing.

Now why would you imply that since one form of art isn't accurately representing a human, therefore no form of art is? Isn't this the reasoning of an ape? Is the 18th century statue of Hercules proof that a man with the exact same body existed back then? No, but someone who looked a lot like that certainly did - and we're talking about a point in time where people didn't know what the fukk protein, calories, bent over rows or a front squat is.

You're convinced to the notion that anybody who doesn't use anabolic steroids is simply bound to have a chitty physique and if somebody disagrees with that he's retarded. Steve Reeves was openly against steroids. That's not 100% evidence that he didn't use them, but just because somebody on the misc said that he's a liar doesn't mean that he's one 100% either. You probably know something I don't, since you're very sure of yourself.

But at least I know how you fail to see any difference between this:

Weak.

Unnatural shoulders and traps, abs, big legs, enough back for size/V and definition elsewhere.

JFL @ looking like a g4p pro.

For me to be as shredded as him, I would have to weigh like 170 but he is fuking 190. I MIGHT be able to accept that someone with elite genetics could approach 180 lbs at that bodyfat, but certainly not at his age.

Also, my muscle size doesn't vary like his. You only see this kind of variation when someone is on or off a cycle

I don't know, man. His bf% doesn't differ that much from the first and second picture, he (naturally) looks bigger with the higher fat because he looks a slightly bulked up + lightning. 1st pic might be shopped a bit as well, I saw the same photo earlier with less core definition

Guy probably had very high test, as they did in fact have higher test than now, so that for sure helps with bb

Maybe he wasn't 180-190, maybe he actually was 170-180. Notice he holds a lot of fat in his legs too. Notice his neck is pretty thin as well as thin/small traps

I might lie to myself, but I honestly thing the guy could be natty, it's an entertaining thought for me at least because if I keep lifting into my 30s, I "feel" like I can get pretty close to his physique. Might not though, but good for motivation

Not natty, but IMO Serge Nubret had the ultimate muscular physique.

Large with a lot of muscle mass, but not grotesque and still in proportion.

As for that earlier pic of Sebastian Stan; he looked more like a fitness model than an actual serious lifter. Even for a natty, I would shoot for a bigger and thicker upper body that. He has no traps, a thin neck, no roundness in the shoulders, just looks like someone who does push-ups and sit-ups with some DB work.

Stopped reading here. No offense man but I started my bb.com account strictly for bodybuilding and I was living in the pro and competition sections for years before becoming a permanent miscer. If you think his bf% isn't much different in both pics then we'll never be able to agree on anything beyond this because as someone who is experienced, there's a night and day difference between both pics. It's not even close. There's no way that dude is natty, especially at his age and the poverty knowledge of training they had at that time.

Meh, you might be right after looking closer at the pictures. There is a big gap between the percentage, you're right. We don't know the time lines exact of the two pictures though. Post a couple of pics of what you think is a crazy natty physique? Curious

I've gotten close in over ten years of training but I doubt I'll ever get as 'dense' at that level of bf% without taking a little something on the side. I'm ok with it, though.

Fantastic, classic physiques in the OP.

This is a crappy photo but it's the only progress shot I've taken in a year, but you can see what I mean but my coming off a little flatter than what's posted in the OP

I feel like miscers go full retard on both ends of the spectrum when it comes to the natty limit. On the one hand, you have the people who believe that Chris Bumstead was a natty 18 year old in this pic because of "muh elite genetics".

On the other hand you have the people who accuse any impressive looking physique of being on juice and underestimate the value of good genetics and consistent dedication. I'm not saying it's possible for everyone or even most, but I think it's plausible that Steve Reeves was natty.

That physique is cool I guess. But wouldn't you have to lift to achieve something like that? Seems like a lot of work tbh. And those girls are paid models. I don't think they like him for his muscles. They might, but it's hard to say for certain.

I mean you have blatant fake natties like Mike O'Hearn and Simeon Panda who say stuff like that all the time so not necessarily.

Obviously that dude is on tech. But there are freaks out there. I go to a gym that’s created more pros than any gym in the world. Tons of dudes with Jamaican Haitian and Trinidadian heritage come here. Those world class sprinting countries. The muscle building genetics they have is insane

I won't say specifically what he claimed to use due to some of the overzealous mods here (can be found easily enough with Google anyway).

I've always considered Larry Scott as being the pinnacle of bodybuilding. He was a freaky mass monster but not so huge that it looks like tumours hanging from his body.

Very small amounts is closer to natty right? I'm pointing out he's teched to the gills. If you saw that dude in the gym today you'd know he's a competitive bodybuilder for sure.

Here he is VS current Mr Olympia Classic Chris Bumstead

Wouldn't even matter.

Your goal physique is determined by genitics like bone structure and muscle belly size etc.

If you're looking for a goal physique for yourself it'd be smart to take that all into consideration so you're not chasing a goal that's flat out unattainable for yourself.

I never said this is achievable for me or most people natty. This is you arguing against what I did not say.

I said that the two aspects that contribute the MOST to the greatness of the physique in the op are muscle insertions and bone structure. Tech or not tech. That is why you can get close to that without tech.

That is the reason why, sadly, a lot of brahs who take tech won't look as good as him.

I am trying to facilitate what I mean one last time and if you strawman me again it is your problem tbh:

This guy is teched out of his mind.

But his muscle insertions, proportions (naturally determined by his bone structure and, to a much much lesser degree, his injection sites and lifting routine prioritising muscle groups as he is a Pro) simply make this a gorgeous physique. No homo declaration.

Nope it's tech. Sorry.

Let's say one group is 10 average teched out lifters who train hard and another is 10 natty lifers with top 10% genetics, the teched guys still look more impressive by far.

That is why you can get close to that without tech.
Nonsense
That is the reason why, sadly, a lot of brahs who take tech won't look as good as him.
Imagine calling me out for using a strawman when your one example is a top genetic guy who is teched out to the gills. You show his physique and highlight his genetics while ignoring his massive tech abuse.

But his muscle insertions, proportions (naturally determined by his bone structure and, to a much much lesser degree, his injection sites and lifting routine prioritising muscle groups as he is a Pro) simply make this a gorgeous physique. No homo declaration.
This argument has never been about whether or not a physique was gorgeous. It's been about size and what's attainable naturally. Using Chris Bumstead as your example to fight me on is a laughable excuse and a sad hill to die on. Yes he has great genetics but he's teched to the gills man. His Olympia prep protocol would make your average gym rats blush.

but I really believe the scrawnier pics of the OP are achievable with great genetics

and the first post of mine you responded to I noted that 99% of guys will never get it either way because the bone structure and how your muscles respond and insert is pre-determined

this is a 1920s weightlifter

AFAIK, exogenous androgens for the purpose of muscle building weren't even trialed before 1940s

Damn near every single pic posted on this page, the guys have perfect physiques like skeleton, muscle insertions, proportions, symmetry, etc.

How many people is that true for out in the real world?

Out of 1000 guys you might get what, I'm sure it would be well under 100, maybe 20 at best (probably much less).

Then you have to be into bodybuilding, figure out what you're doing, train for at least a decade, avoid any muscle altering injuries, willing to take tech, AND have a great response to it.

The physiques I've seen ITT are not realistic goals for the vast majority of guys.

You can see how a number that was already pretty small just keeps getting smaller and smaller.

That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.

Damn that shoulder width. Frame is everything and sadly that is a lottery from birth.
EoR is powered by unique Nanomolecular Hyperdispersion Technology. Giving him high bioavailability and myocellular saturation.

and the first post of mine you responded to I noted that 99% of guys will never get it either way because the bone structure and how your muscles respond and insert is pre-determined

this is a 1920s weightlifter

and a 1930s one

AFAIK, exogenous androgens for the purpose of muscle building weren't even trialed before 1940s
Yeah those dudes are really short and stocky mane. Tiny dudes like that can fill out their frames easily. Steve Reeves would dwarf them.
