LoL'ing So Hard @ The State of American Businesses That Can't Find Workers (SRS) Loll

Chites as cringe as it gets. SRS

All over town I see "Qualified Help Wanted", "Potential for Sign-on bonuses", "Earn up to *insert unrealistic number* after x amount of years"...... FUKING LOL @ they are starting to drop like flies SRS

In some regards its almost sad that businesses would rather go bankrupt than pay a livable wage lol. Legit most of my buddies (both blue collar and professional) are legit sitting on their arses making more money on unemployment that if they worked SRS. Their companies are trying everything to get them to come back.... but they all decline lol. All the young people I know laugh at jobs because they believe "it costs more to attend and transport to the job, then the wage pays after taxes.

America for 3rd World 2022 brahs... some serious chite is going to happen to the US economy in the next 5 years SRS

Here in Houston I see now hiring signs all over. Some places are even giving hiring bonuses. I know McDonald's is giving a like $50 for an interview.

I know! I have a solution! Let’s open up the border and import 3rd world immigrants to work these jobs! What could possibly go wrong?

should be a free market economy, this issue was caused directly by the US government

Think of a market were:
- everyone is free to pay whatever they want employees
- No unemployment or welfare to be offered to poorcels or lazycels

Unemployment pays closer to a realistic wage relative to inflation.

Its not socialism... its a country that can't pay its people enough to survive. Socialism isn't the enemy (or the fix... i'm not on that socialism train), paying people solid wages is. Thats just corporate greed. SRS

This is the government's plan. Pay people, either through welfare or federal jobs, a decent wage and force businesses to compete against that.

100%

No sympathy for these companies. Hell our entire system is bull****. Most people could bang out their work duties with a 4 day work week or even less.

Socialism is garbage but so is our toxic American work culture.

McDonald's doesnt offer their employees a good deal and doesnt offer the customer a good product. Its a business of convenience and that was basically taken away with the lockdowns.

All the openings I see in my field as mostly garbage, srs. I uploaded my resume to glassdoor and I've had the same 4 jobs from the same 4 companies recommended to me again and again. I checked them out and they are asking for too much prior education & experience, and offering chit pay.

brb 4 year degree required
brb minimum 2 years experience
brb thorough knowledge of a very niche system we use
brb pays 44k/year

...

brb nobody applies for it
brb employer says "hurr durr maybe we should just post the same opening again -- don't change anything!"

A few of the jobs I passed on I would have applied if it paid even a little bit better. I guess a lot of companies out there can't be assed to shell out an extra $8,000 per year to get a position filled. Companies don't want to be competitive in a competitive job market. I guess that's going to be the hill they die on.

I can confirm. Help wanted signs at every retail/pleb place around here too.

the plebs are checking out. Why be a wagie slaving away for hours at some deadend job when you can get just as much from government assistance programs? Lots of young people also living at home and (males especially) just going full NEET/game/home entertainment mode seeing their time/labor isn't worth it when a home/decent wife is unattainable either way.

the dudes permanently working at home living it up with cushy jobs will be the next ones to get hit when they realize since these guys never even have to go into the office they can just outsource those jobs to some Indian dude for a fraction of the cost

The unemployment benefits the govt is paying aren't sustainable. Companies are just gonna wait it out.

The govt has to raise taxes to pay for the unemployment benefits

But no one wants to work due to unemployment benefits. which means no taxes to pay for the programs

It's a vicious cycle

Honestly the government needs to give companies a good swift in the arse

9-5 isnt the way, and it took a pandemic to wake some wagies up to this reality.

The sad truth is that its a zero sum game, some have to suffer as wagecels, and some companies have to fall from grace.

I wanted just a small measley peice of the pie and turned my back on the wagecel life as soon as I could.

While some are losing their livelyhood, others have turned their back on Mr CEO and checked out of the rat race.

Some will succeed in their endeavors in the economy to come, while others will go back to serving a new master. Some will check out when the going gets tough, and others will adapt to their NEET lifestyle.

The time has come for wagies to decide their fate, and if you didnt attempt to become self employed or do your own thing in the last year, I have some bad news...

Your concept that it is because they aren't paying enough or should pay more is wrong and you're ignoring the true reason why it is like this but I know what you mean went to celebrate at local pizzeria the other night with my parent BRB up to 30$ an hour u wot m8..?! that's like 50k a year SRS but it was probably for the manager or something.

Yup, it's pretty predictable. I don't get my dad. He has a bunch of rentals and always talks chit about some of the renters who sit around collecting unemployment but are able to pay their bills. But then he votes democrats who enable it. Seems he was never able to make that connection. He's brainwashed

I honestly can't imagine the amount of people in this thread saying HUR DUR they should just pay more or I don't want to work because I can't find a company to pay me 20k a month even though I have virtually nothing to offer or live in a fly over state or something with no opportunities SRS.

that's all you want is $8k more a year so you don't even apply? Apply now and when they offer you the job say no you want $52k. Since they already decided they like you then you'll probably get it.
