Because Mr. shekelstein needs good little obedient WAGIES so he can relax with a glass of hennesy and blow a fatty backwood after a stressful day of plowing his HBB with in his million dollar house SRS it's the narrative society pushes and people can't think to themselves and luxuries are so cheap and entertainment so abundant they just lay down and take it SRS.

much easier said than done and most businesses end up failing. And businesses require huge amounts of effort usually way more than a 9-5 job.
And legit "passive" income where you have money coming in without doing absolutely anything to the point of not even needing a job at all is even harder to achieve.

Also, I think it helps a lot when you have no wife, no kids, no gf, and no social connections outside of work. I literally live to wagecuck at this point; there really isn't an "else" I'd be doing without work besides mindless hedonism.

Honestly you sound like a lazy non-result producing turd.
If I wanted to leave the job market and become a lazy bum, I could. So could everyone. Last year taught me that having a bunch of time off while still getting paid a livable wage made me feel like absolute chit. It was cool for the first month, but after that I realized I was drinking too much and losing motivation.
People take pride in being productive members of society, and then there's people that are parasitic to society. I truly don't ever want to fully retire as long as I'm able to work. Retirement to me looks more like me taking far less hours out of the week, while doing low stress work and receiving income from retirement accounts, plus a low stress job, whether it be from my own company or as an employee of another.
Business owners who smash hbb's while sipping hennessey or whatever the fuk you said, do so because they can. Working for yourself isn't ANY less stressful than working for an employer. In fact it's far more stressful. You single handedly are managing business while simultaneously performing the actual work. If and when you gain employees, you're also managing them. It's a nightmare for most of the population. So the trade off is, deal with the nightmare and high probability of failure+bankruptcy, or live a productive life of working for an employer of YOUR choice and receiving a great wage with health+retirement benefits, while never having to worry about being able to pay your employees. All the while supporting your family.
I wish people like you could be sent back into a time machine, to a decade or century where making a stupid post like this wouldn't have been an option, because you were too busy sharpening wooden fuking arrows so that could go out to kill or be killed by a predator, all to maybe have some food for the next couple of days. Chit like that would really put your "pity me" attitude to rest.

*People have worked more hours than ever since the industrial revolution.
Peasants in medieval times worked less than half a year and had dozens of religious days off.
But yeah i honestly cant see myself working full time for my whole life. I doubt i’ll ever marry or have children so why bother? Im frugal as it is. Once i got my own property i’ll work part time or something

Although 2nd part is true. I've known people who didn't work or just worked part time and they lived off renters in the basement or spare bedrooms. There's also just emigrating too but that has complicated results and I'm personally questioning it time to time.

What in trying to get at is “working” in the sense you clock in and clock out is a relatively recent concept. You worked until the task was done rather than for set period of time decided by your overseers.

Once you got past childhood most people lived to atleast their 50-60s. Average life expectancy was brought down by child mortality.
And yeah sure id miss my computer and iphone, but if id never have the option of having access to those things in the first place am i really missing out?

people in the past simply lived in lower class and middle class bubbles. Everybody you knew worked and did so for decades and they were happy. You might had occasionally seen a rich rapper or a rich actor on TV but they just weren't that relatable. Like the Ant doesn't see a Bird and then wishes he's a Bird.
Different now. You hear of many people going rags to riches through YouTube, TikTok, OnlyFans, Crypto, etc and they're usually doing no work or bullchit work. Meanwhile wages have been stagnant, housing prices go up and everything is costing more.

find a job/career you enjoy, then become so good at it that you can do it in half the time or less and get paid for full time.
plenty of time to do other things in life, i seriously could do my job forever because it pays well , takes up less than 50% of the time i am allocated to do it and i enjoy most of it. No drama of managing other people anymore and i get pretty much a free rein to do my own thing.
I have a great reputation in my organisation for being helpful and co operative and i am because i am great with people and i know loads things that others do not and i get chit done without a fuss
House paid for outright years ago and COVID has saved me a fortune on travel and time
feels good

Working is fun when I have a purpose and supporting my own family is always my source of pride.
One can always stay at the pinnacle of every moment of life both physically and mentally but only while trying really hard.
