She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

It's not just lumber you dingus.

Aside from government subsided goods, everything is going up.

Of course the Fed uses manipulated numbers and omits anything that doesn't fit their narrative, so we have "muh 2.4%".

Careful of "lower quality inflation" as well. Sometimes the price of goods will stay the same, or even decrease, but the quality will significantly decrease. I've been seeing this with a lot of home goods, appliances, and building supplies in recent years.

You'd think, but it likely will not happen.

The Fed has promised to continue this charade "for as long as it takes".

My guess is they're going to just loaning out money from their infinite well, and dilute money to the point where all debt is worthless, and then press the reset button.

We're in a game of musical chairs right now, only the chairs are reserved for the wealthy. They're pouring all of their money into assets.

Dollar is going straight off the cliff.

Everyone I know has been complaining about higher grocery and fuel prices. Hope prices come back down soon, as some in the Biden administration have been suggesting.

And I'm skeptical on 7% to 11%. 15% to 20% I might believe since I know that grocery prices aren't the same in every market.
Well if you recall that we were only buying food and medicine for many months last year, all prices were bound to rise due to companies wanting to make up for lost sales in 2020. I expected it as did many of the people that I talked to. Fuel was decimated, negative barrel price, as no one was driving and we were all at home so guess what would happen when we all left the house?
Take a quick look at toilet paper prices. All triple, jumbo, rolls at insane prices! So just rinse and repeat and insert product here.

Hyperinflation is not the same thing. Hyperinflation occurs when people lose confidence in the country's currency.

If hyperinflation occurs in the USA, civilization has fallen.

If you live in the USA then you have the luxury of living in the largest food exporting country in the world. If things got very bad, they can simply stop exporting food and some other countries will starve. The people of the USA won't starve, they feed a lot of the world and it's the others who will go hungry or need to pay even more outrageous prices.

Shut off Keystone Pipeline and make it as difficult as possible to frack and drill for oil. Supply dwindles, demand goes up because economy is still good. Logistic and supply chain prices skyrocket due to increase for fuel.

What idiot liberals fail to understand. The price is always passed down to the consumer. TAX BIG OIL! CORPORATE AMERICA!, Um, they'll figure out a way around it due to loopholes. They are going to get to a Target revenue number no matter what.

Being forced to print money due to pie in the sky government programs weakens dollar. Thus spending power is reduced.

You provided no factual detail or depth other than liberal cultist conjecture. You really think after businesses have "made up their 2020 losses" they'll take the price back down to pre inflation levels?

Inflation is now staring the Fed in the face. If they keep printing after this, it's just an open middle finger to everyone still working for a living.

In theory if companies can get productivity back up competition will drive prices down.

In reality things may be different, especially if companies are forced to make substantial capital investments at inflated prices, or to hire a lot of people at high wages (wages are "sticky").

No, i said they will make up for losses with increased prices for the consumer across the board

cliffs: They didn't sell much last year(2020) so prices will go up across the board as demand (out of the pandemic) for all goods and services increases.

I made a thread on this 4-5 months ago. "anyone noticing their grocery and fast food prices up?" I have been noticing this more and more each month. What used to be a 100 grocery is now 130+ srs. Even fast food has gotten more expensive. Wtf brahs. I wonder what it will be in 6 months.

How do you prepare/ OR invest in things that protect you from inflation?
