Propanolol works amazingly well. I have it in 10mg pills. One is usually good. If I have a presentation or a big interview I take 2 and it’s not even possible to get nervous Srs.

Wish I would have discovered it earlier. I’m fine 98% of the time in casual social situations I just get bad performance anxiety when doing something like a speech. I only take it once or twice a month.

10mg twice daily I’m assuming?

It’s a bp medication but is commonly prescribed for anxiety. Little to no side effects, we hand it out like candy, hopefully it helps you brah.

It seems to last about 4 hours for me.

You can feel it start kicking in about 30-35 mins after taking it but I always take it 1 hour before I have an interview/speech or something important just to be safe lol.

All your physical symptoms will be gone, no shaky voice or hands, no racing heart etc.

it doesn't have any addictive properties like benzos and what not. it's used as a blood pressure lowering medications too. Just has a really subtle but noticeable calming effect. That's all i need.

Go get a second opinion from a professional. I have had lots of professional experience with this, as in my line of work we use small doses of this drug with legal prescription from a real doctor obviously. You don’t need this. It’s bad for your nuts and everything else. Anxiety is easy to get rid of, stop all caffeine, all stimulants, all pre and post workouts, stop taking any and all test boosters and most supplements. No soft drinks, no drugs smoking, or alcohol. Turn off your TV, sleep in a dark room, 8 hours minimum. Exercise, go to an MMA gym, contrary to popular belief exercise doesn’t actually burn off adrenaline, but rather releases serotonin, which helps with anxiety. Turn off your car radio and put down your phone. Take up yoga and meditation. Read a book. Spend time with your loved ones, and avoid negative retards (democrats etc.) Jerk off... supplement with magnesium, Vit D, go get your bloodwork done. See a natural doctor.

So many good things you can do about this.

Edit:

Anecdotally some people have great improvement when they cut sugar out, gluten, carbs in general. It’s free to try. Doesn’t hurt.

considering trying it. my anxiety, when it kicks in, spikes my adrenaline and i get sweaty and red flushed almost immediately. this happens in general conversations with people and is incredibly frustrating to deal with. think this would help?

Definitely. When you see/feel the physical manifestations of your anxiety, it makes your anxiety even worse, like a positive feedback loop. This is exactly what beta blockers stop. Some people use it solely for performance anxiety purposes like when they have to speak in front of a crowd and they don't wanna have a shaky voice, hands etc. Try it out, not much downside.

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

correct - the feel of the red flush then the perspiration, then the "oh theyre looking and now there judging that im sweating in a perfectly regular temperature room" feeling grows and spirals.

admittedly ive gotten much much better at dealing with this, but every now and then it pops up and with a new job beginning in a month im a little concerned with those first couple of days when lots of attention will be on me as the new guy

These things are all well and good until you have a really stressful fukn job- Doctor, lawyer, etc. Some stress goes beyond the usual coping mechanisms, and some humans are just more emotional / sensitive to stress than others.

Look out for Benzo induced depression. Took once and then legit started becoming an emotional bish on the "come down". TBH they kinda numb you out / make you feel weird cause you don't feel much of a stress response. Are you sleeping well still>

They don't remove anxiety, I think they just block adrenaline released from anxiety. You'll feel like chit still but your hands won't shake.

have taken my first tablet today so lets see how we go. im tossing up whether to take it daily or only in an emergency (todays just a trial)

I dont know exactly when my episodes kick in so i may just take it everyday to be safe.

doctor said i can do either, but its not good to just stop taking it abruptly if you do commit.
