Mass Effect 1 and 3 had more sense of urgency
Mass Effect 1 for me was the best out of all 3. Still loved the other 2 though.
The sense of urgency that grows as the story slowly unravels a tenebrous threat in 1 was truly something.

I think you misunderstood, that had nothing to do with mobile gaming, just you getting back on and participating ingamingstuff.

The first one was an amazing story experience with mind-blowing scope. The second was more polished in terms of combat and technical aspect, but story and characters weren't up to par. Although what did stand-out was the mission where you go to a high-tech prison station on a visit, and the warden foolishly tries to take you hostage...bad move!

I can't remember much about the third. Only really an annoying section at the end where I ended up breaking my TV screen (threw mug at laminate floor which bounced back up and cracked the screen!)

Haven't bothered with 4 or Andromeda; reviews too negative. Plus the trilogy declined by each installment.

I will most likely play the re-master purely for the nostalgia and to re-live the story.

I played Andromeda before any of the others so I had no expectations. Honestly thought it was great (and still do). But after playing 2 and 3 I can see why people were disappointed.

I honestly don't know how people just coming into the series now for the first time will feel, even with a remastered version being released.

ME and ME2 were such incredible games, they broke the mold for me and I fell in love with them(especially ME2) but they're "old" games at this point and people have to realize that going into it, they aren't 2021 releases so I feel like some of the game might feel stiff or campy to some.

As in?

I don't need 968 character choices or other asinine options that miscers need, I just want a good story game. I'm a simple man, will I enjoy it?

I'm not sure I follow. Either the games are good or they aren't. All that's needed to make an older game modern is new graphics so long as it's not so damn old that combat, etc feels aged. But I don't think that is an issue as from what I understand, lots of things like combat and all have also been re worked to bring the first two games into more modern times in those regards. This remaster is apparently much much more than simply better graphics.

Yeah apparently they went pretty in depth with this remaster. If you've never played it then it will be a legendary experience. Apparently they did a decent job at making the first one not feel too dated. I would think the second one and especially the third one would have aged well. The third one had the best combat in a sci-fi RPG imo. I spent a sht ton of hours back in the day just playing the multiplayer in ME3. Thinking about getting it to replay but also might wait to see if modders pull some sick sht.

Replaying Witcher 3 right now on PC with mods and man it's the perfect way to replay a game.

I'm gonna pick it up in a few hours, hopefully the shop should have extra copies. Pretty keen to jump back into Commander Shepards remastered world again.

The remaster is surprisingly good, I didnt think the graphics were all that looking at the videos, but playing it on the oled and it's pretty damn nice. Not the best, but it looks like a good ps4 game and the graphics are much nicer than Andromeda lmao. Seems like they did a good job of porting ME1 over.

Also damn, it's weird playing a peak bioware game .... The dialogue is a lot better and more mature, the sense of scale is grand and the atmosphere is top notch. Playing this game again really shows how low Bioware has fallen since they got taken over EA and hired a bunch of untalented sjws.

No one cares, you should probably stick to Fortnite instead.

I've put about an hour into ME1 remastered this morning and I'm thoroughly impressed so far with how they overhauled the graphics, the movement, everything feels better and looks fantastic.
