Yeah a lot of "luxury" apartments are quickly thrown up with shotty quality but the biggest selling point is location.

Mine is solid but I need to get into a home like yesterday due to the housing market. The staff is professional also.

Many of the apartments in the area I looked at around 2016/2017 before moving here and even then they had questionable quality.

I think they're dumb, and I remember living in San Diego and seeing those. Imagine the price of living in a "luxury apartment" in La Jolla for example. Yet they were everywhere, so clearly there was the demand and people occupying them.

I used to and it was nice. Until the city council decided to de facto decriminalize open drug use, theft and assault. Downtown turned into Robocop's Detroit real quick. It all started about when recreational marijuana was legalized.

That opened the flood gates of vagrants from all over the country flocking here. Meth and heroin usage quickly followed.

Homes these days in general are usually trash. New construction that is.

I guess time will tell but everyone seems to just be going for how fast they can put up a house and not care about the quality.

You're better off moving into a 1800/1900 built brick/stone building and gut/rehabbing the interior.

My insurance company told me the building I bought for 420,000 would cost close to a million to rebuild today. New construction is incredibly cheap and fragile because the cost of building materials is so high with inflation.

Luxury apartments are just apartments now. Any new apartment building is going to have something making it "luxury" and over the top expensive - also probably have some low income housing in there for whatever requirements but they just give those units the chit views no one else really wants anyways.

Apartment living can be fun though. Mostly gotta pick a place based on the other renters. There are some complexes that get lit on the weekends, pool parties, ton's of hot girls, all living close by, it's a good time. Others are just old people or mole people. They might look nice but it's lame.

Pro Tip: Search for an apartment by ORA rankings. You still have to do a little vetting to make sure they weren't taken over by a new management company, but otherwise I have found great success.
