Always wanted to play drums since i was a kid, unfortunately you need space and a suitable environment for sound. Settled for a guitar instead..

Both are good, but drums for me.

I love drums the most but guitar is pretty dope. If I ever buy a guitar this is definitely riff I want to learn the most the minute I start learning to play it

Bro I love drums and drumming most than anything in life (well that and working out) and I dont have space here in my apartment ( I live with my parents) and I really dont know where to place drums. I was thinking my grandma has an attic and I will probably buy drums and have them there I dont know man but for sure this year I will buy them

Hate ac/dc but checked it out. Once you've played for a few months you can play that while getting your dink sucked easy.

I enjoy my guitars, drums are fun to play though, but guitar is my passion over drums.

I feel you man, i'm in London and with the size and construction of the flats here i don't think i will ever be able own a kit.
The attics not a bad idea though, definitely get them till it's not too late!

My buddy has a big flat but he lives with his paps who will retire in 2 years and move out to live by the sea (im from croatia) and plan is to learn drums pretty well by then and move the kit there where we will rehearse and **** he is learning guitar.

I do drums, but got out of it because of space and noise complaints. If anything, get an Alesis electronic set or if you are more advanced player, Roland drums.

I wanted to get into guitar, but literally have 0 motivation for it at the moment.

If I had to choose one or the other, guitar for space sake. For beating the **** out of things, drums for sure.

Like I said, I like Angus. Heard an interview with him on the radio and the interviewer asked what it's like to have 10 albums that sound exactly the same, Angus said I don't know because I have 11 that sound exactly the same, lold hard. Not sure if I'm right on album numbers but that's a ballpark figure.

Even acoustic can be noisy in an apartment. If you're playing in a city where houses are right next to each other, an Amp will annoy your neighbors. You can get headphones and be quiet like with electronic drums, but it's not the same.

What do you mean you hate his voice lol hes not the one singing its Brian Johnson (or Bon scott lol)

Well they do make pretty same sounding music but I like their approach. If it sounds good, why change it? They play what they play, they have their fans and thats it.

I love them. Greatest band ever.

It comes down to what your living situations can accommodate. Most band practices are at the drummer's house since they are tolerant to noise.

Few people have the limb independence to play drums and you really need a band to play with. If you were a destructive child, are < 100 iq and drug addicted you'll do great tho.

from the context of which is cooler when someone you dont know can randomly walk up and play it well drums easy

remember in my guitar center hanging out middle school days there was this kid that was probably 8 or 9 that just walked up to a drum set, played the nastiest evil sounding drum beat with some of the gnarliest double kick bass my virgin ears had ever heard, then got up bought some stuff with his dad and left. To this day one of the most memorable moments where i was basically paralyzed by what i'd just witnessed

Hope he's doing big things with it now srs

They're both pretty cool.

Drums are probably more crucial to any musical ensemble but guitar is just cool.

Guitar has so many different ways to change the texture of notes where drums you're limited in that aspect.

One time I was at Guitar Center and they happened to be having this drumming competition.

There were a bunch of awesome drummers in there showing their stuff.

I only hung around for like 20 minutes but it was awesome.

I wanted to play drums as a kid, but my parents didn't want to get me a drum set lol. So I went with guitar, but I'm sure glad I did. You can just do a lot more on guitar
