Think I just cracked the code to having motivation, getting sh*t done srs
Follow me for a min misc
So I think it’s widely known that motivation doesn’t strictly come from inspiration but more so from taking action. Now here’s the trick, when you need to get something done, just tell yourself “Ok, I’ll give it a chit effort” and because your standards are so low you’ll see less of a barrier to actually doing it. But then you get more motivation from doing it.
Anyone tried this? Haven’t been getting chit done that I need to from a big lack in motivation and am gonna start doing this srs

All the time.
I won't want to workout and i'll say to myself “Ok, I’ll give it a chit effort” and i'll decide to just try and get my heart beat up a little, so i'll start fapping as it is technically HIIT, most days it doesn't go further than that, but at least i am doing some form of cardio, right?
And don't get me wrong, this is not just some poor effort of a fap, this is hardcore fapping for a good 20 mins, i'm not fucing about, my heart rate must hit around 90BPM, sometimes i'll even scream out loud like a warrior going into battle and slap my hard cock off a desk to motivate myself with pain.

I've found that it's not really motivation or a lack fo that stops me - it's more like spiritual or mental.
If you have a clear intention then you can create what you want - it feels natural.
Otherwise if you're all f*cked up and depressed, you can't even get out of bed, let alone devote your self to a new venture.

Not too bad of an idea, OP. I've done similar things. Sometimes you just have a mental barrier to getting started. Once you get going you build up a little momentum and it becomes easier to keep pushing.

You have to step way back and identify the few REAL things that are important to you in life.
And then put effort ONLY into those few things.
Drop all other busywork and useless projects.

Negativity is never really a good thing. Reducing expectations might be a good thing but for motivating I don't think it is too good. So go fist yourself

You're definitely onto something op. Perfection is the enemy of productivity. 70% is usually more than good enough, so no need to waste exponentially more time on something that becomes incrementally better

age and seniority were highly correlated with personal productivity — older and more senior professionals recorded higher scores than younger and more junior colleagues.

Yep it works. I don't consider it motivation when you do something you don't want to do, that's called discipline my bro. Some of us have it some don't.

The secret to motivation is starting and it’s called the progress principle and was figured out a long ass time ago *******
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

But I do thank you for helping prove that less effort = better chance of just starting.

It's not motivation - you're just not task-oriented. Punch the stuff you need to-do into your phone.
The first few things you have listed should be stuff you are going to do anyway. Shower, eat, brush your teeth, make your bed..... The difference is tomorrow you are going to start your day by checking off a bunch of stuff off of your list instead of wandering aimlessly through your day. Then move on to whatever you want to do next - the order doesn't matter - could be the most important, easiest, the most enjoyable, most fun, the one you want to do the least, or the one that takes the least time, or do a cluster of things that are related - it doesn't matter as long as you check them off when they are completed. Whatever you do & whatever order you do them in, keep checking things off of your list as you complete - accomplishing tasks is motivating.
Maintain this habit for a month and you will look back in astonishment at the sheer amount of chit you can accomplish by just focusing on checking one item at a time off. Congrats! You are now a task oriented individual.
