Millennials never recovered from the 2008 recession. Many of them either had a delayed start in finding work or had to switch fields, etc. Gen Z and the younger millennials (not sure where the cutoff is) did better right out of the gate because from 2012-now, the economy has been significantly better.

Yea part of me wants to grab parents of high school seniors by the ears and scream “DON’T SEND YOUR KID TO COLLEGE UNLESS IT’S STEM OR SOMETHING LEGIT!!”

I was gonna join the marines out of high school but switched and went the opposite direction to WVU, lol. Major party school and I lasted 3 semesters. Going to college and taking on massive debt was just the thing you did, looking back on it. None of us really questioned it. You just took out loans and figured you’d pay them off with a decent paying job that a college degree would get you. They played us like fools. I just wish I were one of the smart ones at the time who saw the writing on the wall.
