In an era where we have 4K 60 FPS $1k cameras in our pocket, mofos gonna believe our military with $100M fighter jets can't get better than a grainy shyt stain of a pic of these aliens I call B.S.

This seems unlikely. This stuff has been happening for decades, before the internet or cell phones. The government is only acknowledging it now. The technology required to do what's being recorded and reported by military personnel is far beyond any technology we have. Our spaceships are still rocket propelled, as is all our aircraft.

These encounters are also happening in other countries around the world. Having this technology would literally give you unmatched supremacy over the planet. We don't have it, nor does any other country in the world.

This stuff does not seem to be of this world. We just put a rover on Mars. My guess would be that this is similar. I'd be genuinely shocked if these UFO'S were actually manned (not human).

We need to think outside the box. The real miracle would be if Earth was literally the only planet with life forms. If you think about it scientifically, that would seem highly improbable.

A few thousand years ago we were living like animals. On an evolutionary scale we are infants.

by your reckoning, it is more likely that an alien lifeform has:

1. generally evolved in a manner contemporaneous with humans, eg. requiring aircraft to explore rather than, say, undetectable signal or microscopic craft or von nuemann probe etc. or even "walking among us" in plain sight as it were.
2. has also developed the technology to cross space relatively quickly
3. after crossing space, now uses "dumbed down" stoneage (relatively speaking) craft to navigate only in the periphery of human detection.

the likelihood of the existence of intelligent life remains unanswered, but if it incidents are rare, then it seems exceedingly rare that intelligent life would evolve at the exact same time in the exact same neighborhood, given what we know about evolution.

likewise we know for a fact that humans create aircraft that can be propelled to speeds exceeding 12,000 mph. we know that military tech is often classified.

this one is really easy, now what seems more likely?

the stardust capsule allegedly went from " The capsule followed a drastic reentry profile, going from a velocity of Mach 36 to subsonic speed within 110 seconds"

idk how to calculate g-forces but i know there was some questioning (by the uninitiated) regarding human made material strength limitations under extreme load. there is a data point for you. i know the same project did 29,000 mph in the earths upper atmosphere.

@ numberguy calculate the g forces of this deceleration.

Sorry but you simply have no understanding of how big the universe is. Let's go ground up and I'll keep it simple. Life is incredibly rare in the universe, but it most likely exists. The vast majority of this already rare occurrence will be simple, single celled lifeforms. Intelligent life is an extremely tiny subset of an already rare occurrence.

Therefore, it's safe to say that civilizations more advanced than humans are so rare that they would be very far from us. The fastest thing in the universe is light and it's impossible for any technology to get anywhere close to that. To add, light speeds are achieved by photons of zero mass and we're talking about the technology and energy required to move a mothership at near to those speeds. Not happening, not even close. The energy required for that alone will be more than our sun can provide.

Now let's play along and pretend that somehow they could attain half of light speed. Let me also be very VERY gracious and assume one advanced civilization lives just 25,000 light years away. At those speeds it would take several tens of thousands of years of travel to reach us. Thousands of generations of aliens would live and die on this ship. Finally after 50,000 years of travel and consuming the equivalent of an entire star's worth of energy, this super advanced race sacrifices so much just for the opportunity to zip around in our clouds all day doing absolutely nothing, play hide n seek with our jets and shove probs up our rectums.

Does that seem remotely worth it to you?

I don’t believe these things actually have any alien beings in them , but are actually probes from another planet .
It just makes no sense how they would survive long enough to get here , but I could see sending probes here .
But who knows , maybe with technology advanced a billion years more than our own ,they have the technology to warp space and time

Or maybe they could ride on the magic space unicorn. Yeah I guess if magic exists they could do that or maybe use teleporting abilities like that one guy in mortal kombat.

We have just as much evidence for warping as all the other things I listed, aka zero, so why even bother talking about them. Is it because worm holes sound more "sciency"? Because it isn't and doesn't exist.

I totally agree how hard it is to phantom the possibility that these things are from some other civilization for all the reasons you mentioned. The distance, the time, the required speed....but these things seem to travel without any obvious form of propulsion and seem unaffected by gravity. I definitely don't have any answers and am just guessing and speculating like everyone else. I Just don't believe we have any technology even close to what's being seen. Is it possible we do? It is. It's also possible we don't, it is. And that opens the door to possibilities unimaginable.

Didn't the US Government have to release all of their information on UFO's based on one of the recently signed bills?

It's really hard for me to word this in a way that makes sense to everybody but I'll try. Just because something is possible in our imagination doesn't mean we should give it credit.

What if I told you this. "Hey GrimReper, the magical space yeti is probably out there shooting kamahemehas and blowing up planets all over the galaxy. I wish I could see him in action"

You'd say that obviously doesn't exist because it sounds like a fairytale. Then, in response I tell you "hey well you can't prove space yeti doesn't exist, maybe it's a something we haven't discovered yet?"

That's how I view the warp drive thing. It's science fiction. The case for a space snowman is just as strong as the case for warp tech. They both equal zero.

You literally cannot confirm nor deny something similar exists. You may as well ask me if God is real, or if we live in a simulation, to which I will give the same answer.

Besides, that is a ridiculous argument anyways. Spaghetti is a human invention, therefore such a thing would not exist outside of Earth. "Spirit" bombs are not a technology, but faith in a spiritual world, which in itself has not been proven to exist in the thousands of years humans have been attempting to discover and explain it. Furthermore, it is impossible for evolution to create a species with a population size of 1, and you did not imply there could be multiple spaghetti monsters.

The probability that a Spaghetti monster even exists is not even close to the probability that there is some distant advanced civilization that has discovered a way to break the laws of physics or bend spacetime with advanced technology. Remember, when humans first experimented with aircraft, it was proposed that the sound barrier could not be broken because it made it impossibly difficult to overcome.

to the contrary, its arrogant to imagine we would be of interest to a space faring species. within the massive time-scale of evengeology (let alone coalescence of galactic structure), its the height of human arrogance to dream up the entire notion of the shy, inquisitive alien, that has so happened to have generally evolved near us and similarly to us, and who conquers death and the distance between stars, and yet visits us in this inexplicably guarded way, and yet not so guarded that we see them from time to time.

its a bizarre social consequence of a collective myopic psychological projection.

Habitable worlds with resources are extremely rare, life more so. I would assume that humans would at least be a little intriguing like ants, monkeys, or even uncontacted native tribes are to some human scientists today.

I find the zoo hypothesis most plausible.

Also that alone doesnt explain its crazy movements, taking sharp 90 and 180 degree turns at the drop of a hat and going from water and air seamlessly with no splash.

And what the pilot said about the g forces that would kill any person if they were aboard with those movements.
I think if those things are real and if people really have encountered such things they have to be avatars. If they have the ship tech they could do an avatar easily. A Biological being would die quickly in something moving in that manner. Of course if they’re aliens with that advanced tech maybe they find a way around it.

I want to be leaf but idk. I def think there’s intelligent life out there somewhere but being visited by them may not have ever happened. The odds of just us (we and the other intelligent life) existing at the same point in time would be tiny to begin with since we’re talking all of time and space.

This is where we disagree. A sentient monster consisting of molecules found in spaghetti and looking like spaghetti that's able to shoot fireballs is more realistic to me than being able to break the laws of physics and create wormholes.

The whole point of my example was showing that "you don't know what's possible" is a lame excuse because clearly we can say with some degree of certainty that some things absolutely don't exist since they're deeply rooted in fantasy or fiction.

Worm holes and spaghetti monsters are two examples. Both break the laws of physics so you cannot say one sounds much more realistic than the other.
