It's up to you really, seems most people at least want a secured material existence. Some want to help people, others to want crush their enemies, to see them driven before them, and to hear the lamentations of their women. Some want riches and power, others want a simple life.

If you mean humanity as a collective, I think at the very least we want to be free. I think if you put someone in a cage they would want to get out of the cage. Maybe we want peace for the most part, most people definitely people want to phuck that's for certain.

I think it's hard to talk about the pursuit of purpose in a collective sense for every human being. Most people would likely have different answers, and that often involves making a decision about who you are.
