Fauci was under oath recently and when asked how many members of the CDC and FDA are vaccinated he said about half.

Smart people lie. My friends, family, gf know I'm not getting the vaccine. Other than that, if a random or coworker asks me I'll say "Oh yeah! Pfizer GANGGANG baby we protected out here!"

I don't think the doctors are lying about getting the vaccine. I think most have a lot of confidence in it. Most believe in the CDC guidance for masking, social distancing, etc.
In general, well educated people want to believe in the institutions where they received their education. Their status as well educated is, to a degree at least contingent on the reputation of higher education. Doctors are no different. If you weaken the institution of medicine, it also hurts them personally so they have strong incentives to conform. Media/liberals have been very effective at driving a wedge between academia and conservatives. It's gotten to the point where nothing from the "experts" can be questioned without you being labeled as anti-science. It always pains me to hear the someone in the media reference something as "settled science". That's not how science works. Nothing is settled, every law is open to modification as we learn more.
It's not my intention to say that the doctors are wrong, they very well may be right. I just don't think some skepticism is unwarranted.
For reference, I have an engineering PhD. I understand wanting to believe science and scientists, because I worked in academia for several years. I work in consulting now because I never had any love for academia, but I've had enough exposure to gain some understanding of how it works. Research is all about funding, unless you like working for free.

Anyone who sees doctors as all knowing beings that are immune from corruption is just not in touch with reality.
MDs are paid under the table and get kick backs from big Pharma all the time to be pill pushers and perform treatments/surgeries that are not necessary.

I don't see the point of getting a vaccine, considering I live at work. 10-12 hours a day, 7 days a week. As well as 80% of people at my job had covid over the span of a year at one point or another. Then the last 20% is either vaccinated fully, or never got sick yet. I see it as the chances of getting covid to be next to nothing. But I wouldn't mind getting covid, so I could get a few weeks off work.
