Used to have awkward silences, getting ignored, jokes that people cringed at, etc.

After my first long conversation in a year I couldn't even believe how easy it was to socialize. My confidence grew with every sentence because of the positive feedback I got. It felt like people wanted to continue talking with me. When I told jokes that may have fallen short earlier they were well received and further bolstered my confidence. After like 45 minutes of talking with this one chick I was sure I could literally say anything and get a good response. I could not even believe myself as I had never been able to smoothly carry a conversation before, let alone with a girl.

I said something about not getting laid yet in a joking fashion and she said she would take my virginity if I asked. The delivery was sort of deadpan so I didn't know how to judge it (you would have to be there). Didn't really matter, shes not my type (there is a limit to LTC even with good face).

I could literally bring up specific examples of me being an ******* and get a genuine positive reaction. I don't think the nice guys<bad boys thing is real, its just that attractive dudes can get easily away with being an ******* or at least brutally honest, so they do it.

I feel like looksmaxxing in some manner is a rich get richer thing where your social skills improve because other people are so receptive and want your respect/cawk. You realize you can say anything and get positive feedback-->your social anxiety immediately fades-->you become more genuine and spontaneous.

I didn't just post this to humblebrag and move on. Post your experience with developing social skills and looksmaxxing. I am acutely interested in this as I could not even believe how much better my convos got by looksmaxxing alone.

I feel as if it was within me. I always thought I was going to be a quiet introvert, but either the change in how people receive me or the long isolation has revealed a very loud and extroverted part of me that I used to have in 4th-5th grade (class clown, no inhibition, etc.)
I can definitely see people that are beyond help and will always be weeded out as a social outcast (and it is quite sad).

I am not frauding or trolling. I was literally so anxious that I gave out TMI in my last post. I was just being paranoid.

Conversing after looksmax was a surreal feeling. I had never actually known what spontaneity was like; i would just freeze up and be silent.

Thats what I always used to try to do but then I would inevitably overthink. I was like that in the beginning of my first real convo with a chick after the pandemic/looksmax, but I literally shifted mid conversation after seeing the reception. Then I talked to a group later and it was insane. People used to be purposefully uncharitable to my words and it felt stacked against me, but this was like a positive feedback loop.

I think you can certainly learn to get better at talking to people/being conversational. At least being average in that category. The people who are naturally charismatic/life of the party types are a different breed and it's really hard to replicate that. Good thing is you just have to be average if you check the other boxes. I used to be complete shut-in/introvert, but I'm now good enough where I can hang out with non-loser friends and even fool them sometimes into thinking I'm an extrovert. That said, I'll never be the center of attention in the room, and I'm fine with that.

I feel as if looks play the largest role in sexually/relationship motivated cold approach. For example, if a chick approached you randomly you would know in a second whether you would take things further. It could be that someone who is social enough to change your mind is very rare and therefore hard to believe.

Brah I'm literally saying that these are the things that elevated me indirectly because I was treated so much differently. Before I wasn't even given a shot in interactions with peers. Now they tend to want my respect. I just wanted to hear other peoples experiences. Not everyone has this sort of above average looksmax but they still manage so I'm wondering what they did.

I was the geeky type in high school, skinny with a bad posture and couldn't look people in the eyes. I had no idea what to talk about and was the "good listener" type. I used to bang one chubby chicks every two years on average.

If after they deem you actually have a backbone and will walk from ANY person or situation because youre balls deep in self respect, then and ONLY then do people start to respect and give a fuk about you.
