I think this is only temporary, I think they are working on some updates to limit the alts and chit trolls.

I think the misc will come back better (srs)

Is there a more active web 1.0 forum on the internet? Possibly SomethingAwful but you have to pay like 10 bucks to get in. Talking these BBS style forums and not image boards or something like reddit/hackernews.

This format still functions, they could update the aesthetics while retaining the same structure and format. That may attract new users. It does seem like a lot of the race baiting and incel threads come from no avi users so I can see OPs point.

As a new user though, it seems the site has been somewhat neglected. That's why my age defaulted to 51 and is stuck there no matter what I do, a major unfixed site-wide bug.
