Playing paragon all over again .... Although, ME is the one game where playing Renegade can be fun, you're the biggest ******* ever and Shepards male voice actor has the best deadpan delivery.
ME1 I'm doing Soldier Shepherd, Tali and Liara. It's way too easy, Tali and Liara are broken but I just want to replay through it quickly.

I'm gonna be picking this up in the next week or so. I played like a quarter of ME1, none of ME2, and like halfway of ME3. I liked the two I played, I just never finished them cause I'll randomly lose interest in games. At least they'll pretty much be new to me.

I was against this remaster because I thought it was pointless, but I'm rolling back on that opinion. The remaster is fantastic and I'm glad they did it.

I still wish Mass Effect had a full remake with 2 and 3 being remastered (3 could have done a slight remake too i suppose) ... But this remaster just shows how amazing these games were. The sad part is, we'll probably never get something like this again because Bioware is dead and not many rpg's go into space and instead deal with fantasy or high fantasy. Space operas are never explored.

Wow, Mass Effect 2 is the only RPG I've ever played that I can say actually comes really close to doing as good of a job as CDPR did on TW3 with character stories and story telling in general. Enjoying the fk out of it so far.

ME2 and 3 are on a whole nother level. Those games just had such a high quality feel to them. I'll probably end up replaying them as well. I think I already went through them twice each. If you brahs played the original trilogy but never played the Citadel DLC in ME3 then you're in for a hell of a treat. One of the best DLCs in gaming srs, almost enough to make up for that ******* ending.

Finished ME2 and started on 3 ..... Ive actually only ever done 1 playthrough of this, so in a sense it's a new game (apart from some story beats which I remember) ...... But already I'm having massive gripes with it.

gameplay is a whole lot improved though, but there's some UI/presentation issues that I'm really having massive gripes with it.

6 hours into ME1 and it's such a great game. the story is engaging and i'm loving it so far

only real complaint is it's more of a story game than a combat game. I'm spending most of my time just running around talking to people to get to the next quest part

Deep into Mass Effect 1. Way further than I made it last time. Fantastic game, the update really made it so much better for those of us who got around to it AFTER 2 and 3 and couldn't make heads of it.

Can't wait for 2 and 3, 2 especially, but I am going to play every side quest I can find in ME1.

SPOILERS
I read some guide that said "It doesn't matter where you send Ashley" so I thought the "choice" was a different mission. Well I mistakenly chose Kaiden over Ashley and now I'm stick with him and lost the HBB. RIP Ash

Can someone give me an optimum squad for where I am currently at in the game? I just met Tali so I have the usual people associated with that point in the game. My Shepard is a Soldier class.

Depends on what difficulty you're on. If easy or casual...it literally doesn't matter. You could solo the entire game if you wanted. lol
ME2 actually has a couple parts that are semi difficult though if you're not on easy setting.

About to start ME3 now. Just finished 2.

For the first game? the only thing that kind of matters is if you have the electronics skill so you can decrpyt locked crates and doors for games. Otherwise it doesn't really matter ..... I ran with Wrex and Garrus for the entirety of the game, three alpha males that go around the universe wrecking chit up. Go with you think are the best and coolest.

If you're playing on normal or hard that is, I think for insanity difficulty, team comp matters a bit more, but i've never played ME on anything higher than medium.

The third game is probably where your squad comp matters a bit more IIRC because then you get far more interaction between the squad-mates. Even the second didnt have much interaction between team-mates save for some instances. ME3 so far has had a lot more interaction between squad mates up to the point Ive played.

Having just finished ME1 and going into ME2, its completely insane how much they improved on it with everything.

I loved ME1 but ME2 is on a whole different level.

I hate Mass Effect 3's UI, quest tracking and journal system so bad .... It's mind boggling how badly they regressed it from ME1 and esp ME2 ... I mean wtf, how do you completely ruin such a small thing and they go ahead and mess it up.

ME3 so far is a lot better than I remember it though, gameplay is super fun especially playing as vanguard ... brb zipping through the battlefields with biotic charge, nova and killing half the enemies, and then shottgunning the ones who survive and because I carry only two guns, I can easily get 2-3 biotic charges in a row.

Never played this game but I started this morning and haven't seen any fights after the tutorial. Made my way to the citadel and I enjoyed exploring most, if not all of it.

Quick non spoiler points so far

- I understand the lack of early battles complaint. I like to explore but I've been itching for a fight

- I've always been a game play over graphics person and thanks to the remaster, the graphics meet the minimum requirements to immerse me

- background music does a great job setting the tone

- I've gone through journal entries and admire the rich lore. Really helps set the mood and tone

- combat seems kinda janky and I'm not sure what many of the items do but I'll figure it out in time I guess.

- I like the squad feature and the fact that they have their own AI. I see you can make them use abilities from the wheel screen but I hope the AI is good so I won't be required to dik around with them much.

- love the art style and I'm excited as fuk to play a space themed game.

Excited for what's to come.

Fk man. Don't know if I'm just spoiled from 1 and 2, but doing missions in 3 is a pain the ass. I feel like they don't give you fk all for info a lot of times. Often times what seems like a simple quest will lead to one thing then to another, etc based on your decisions...but your journal never updates to tell you how to continue. You're left googling everything to try to figure it out.

Or maybe I'm just retarded. That's a strong possibility as well.

Yeah what I've been saying in the last page, the quest tracker and journal system is retarded.

Here's one tip I found out - When you're at the citadel, bring up the map ... When it comes up, the legend highligts people in areas that you can hand in your quests or the "terminal" you need to go see. It's not a complete solution, but it's a lot better than aimlessly walking around or resorting to google constantly.

Boyos who never played...the ending sucks so much balls, that it pretty much kills the franchise.

I wasn't extremely happy with the endings of 1 or 2 either...but I guess given the state of things, neither one called for a happy ending necessarily lol.
Don't have much hope for a happy ending in 3 either. But I'm too invested in the story and characters to not finish it.

Plus literally almost every female in the game, including non human ones, is easy on the eyes. That helps too. Wish they did CDPR style romance scenes. Cot dayum just want to see Miranda and Liara's boobies so damn bad.
