It's just another challenge in life.

Try to live it in your own way.

Cheers!!

Freedom of speech is a principle pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved and tyranny is erected on its ruins.

Mostly this. Wasted so much time in my teens and 20s. Event though I'm married now I look back at my high school days and think about all the times I chickened out at pursuing my crushes lol.

Pretty much hated college while I was there (had bad OCD at the time and was definitely depressed) and at this point it's just a blur. Definitely missed out on the typical college experience. Wish I could go back in time with a healthier mindset so I could look back on it fondly instead of with regret/shame.

But all in all life is pretty good, just could have been optimized

what do you mean by not making best use of your time? just genuinely trying to see what that means to different people.

From your posts Ive read you have a six figure job, good education, in shape, etc. Not going out enough/social enough?

yeah sounds very similar to me. Objectively im "doing well" but I didn't put myself out there enough and now no gf, no prospects, not enough friends/connections.

Yea its like I never got a chance to really live. Nothing really being lost, just sad to know I'll never have any of those glamourous moments in life. I had a good teen relationship but as soon as I turned 18 it was over with. Always thought I might turn it around but it never happened and I turn 30 next year so my life is pretty much in the books unless a miracle happens from now until dec 2022. Been a huge disappointment, never got to be the person I wanted to be, maybe never had a chance to begin with anyways. Not that the idea was stupid, but me having it was, so I kind of just wasted my life on stupid. I'm not intellectually challenged but my thinking has always been terrible. I am a perfect example of a stupid person with no real problem.

Can't relate. The older you are, the more money, authority, experience etc you have. Your place in society only goes up.

Doesn't apply if you're just stagnating of course. Then you're just getting decrepit with nothing to show for it.

If you're doing it right you should mog younger people in absolutely anything that doesn't involve your physical body.

The older you get, the faster time flies.
One year between ages 3 and 4, that’s 25% of your life and everything is new and exciting.

One year between 30 and 31, it’s a smaller portion of your life and mostly likely consisting of doing repetitive, mundane chit.

Enjoy it now, it will only get worse.

this is so very true.

I'm not depressed about getting older but I have noticed as I got older that each day feels shorter than when I was only a few years younger and I'm only 1/4 life.

What I'm depressed about is that life is boring.

Meh. With age you (hopefully) gain money, wisdom, perspective, etc. I probably felt worse about it at 32, where you are now, than I do now. Once you come to terms with the fact that you are no longer 22 and the world just doesn't see you in that light anymore and start recognizing those positives I listed life gets better. **** youth, it's over. I'd be worried about my age if I was bald, fat, with no muscle, as I'm nowhere near like that I'm feeling great about my age!

I visited my great grandparents graves yesterday, remembering them and then looking at their headstones thinking how they are under the ground and have been for years. I was thinking how I wouldn’t be alive without them, I thought about the lives they lived.

I also walked around the cemetery looking at the headstones/tombstones reading names. Wondering who these people were, what they did, how their loss impacted their family. I started to think about how one day I’ll likely be in a place like that or I’ll be in a box cremated. I then started to think about how hard it’s going to be when my grandparents die, when my parents die if I’m still alive by that point. Coming to terms with the ones we love so much just being rotting corpses in the ground is tough for me, it’s tough to picture myself in that scenario as well. I’m completely terrified by death and I don’t like how fast time is going, I regret not doing certain things years ago and I’m only 24.

We gotta appreciate the time we have here guys, if you are lucky enough to still have your parents and/or other close family make sure you spend enough time with them, appreciate every moment you have with them.

Not really, the older I get the more I appreciate life, maybe because I'm more aware it's ending one day, so might as well enjoy it while you still can.

Nah, never depressed.

I believe you're as old as you think you are.

My problem is that I have a thing for younger women, like 21-23 year old's and I'm 36.

No, not really. Anything below 60 is still FAIRLY young by today's standards. I've come across plenty of active 80 year-olds who can still do most physical day to day activities and have all their marbles. If you look after yourself then your body tends to repay you later in life.

Sure, we all get older. Just use the time you've got. Its not over until it over.

I know I’m still fairly young, but I wish I could have done some things different in my late teens and early 20s. There were dreams I had back then that I never committed to that are too late for me to do now. Some ships have sailed. Wish I had more fun, I spent too much time procrastinating, still do.

It's never too late to pursue your dreams.

I accomplished one of mine when I was 57.
A friend talked me into competing with him for our fist time.
I did. I got hooked and then fulfilled my next dream; winning Maters Bodybuilding at 60. I didn't do it at 60 but I did at 61...(See Avi).

Stop procrastinating and just get on with your dreams!
