I've been told two stories:

1. Chinese wet markets

2. US-funded Chinese virology lab that had an accident while testing on bats

In either cases, there are serious issues with the methodology for counting deaths. They attribute untested deaths in patients that had flu-like symptoms. These inflated death counts are used to justify government overreach.

I've also been told that the tests give false positives. Can't tell you which of these are flat-out lies, but it doesn't matter when the government institutes lockdowns and denies our constitutional rights without even a vote. I don't trust the government at all, but I can at least trust the doctors and scientists who have had the balls to highlight the flaws in these policies.

Meanwhile, people out in rural areas are far beyond the reach of these clowns in public office, and it has always been that way. Entire communities that have continued life as normal, but they are beyond the scope, resources, or even acknowledgement of the state.

chinese experimenting with coronaviruses (like all countries do), when it's time for the test animals to be destroyed, incompetent workers take them to be sold at the local wet market a few km's away for a quick buck, virus gets out into the public. This is coming from the same country that fishes rancid oil out of the gutter and sells it again just to make money.

Why kill and burn a test monkey or bat when you can go sell it at the market for a few extra bucks?
