Why does Asian food mog the **** out of European food?

I am European and everything we have is subhuman and unhealthy.

I will never pay money in a restaurant for pasta, pizza, pies/other pastry, fish-and-chips (you know who you are!) and **** like that.



If I was forced to pick one type of food to eat everyday for the rest of my life, hands-down easily this:



Sichuan style Chinese hotpot.

It doesn't and European food isn't crap. You just aren't eating the right stuff or are eating stuff that's ill prepared. I love to cook and enjoy making E Asian and S Asian food (wife is Thai). I also like latin (especially Tex-Mex) and a lot of European (Italian especially, learning to cook E. European). There is good and bad in all cuisine but mostly in how you prepare it. Good food is as easy as using fresh ingredients, prepared simply, and don't over complicate things.

You completely ignore Greek food, which is my personal favorite. Also Romanian, French, Spanish, Polish, and German food are fantastic. Personally I’m not real big on Italian food but I still think it’s better than any Asian food besides Chinese, the only Asian food I like is Chinese. I hate sushi, it absolutely disgusts me. I had Vietnamese food which was horrible, Thai is ok, and I’ve never had Korean food.

But you reducing European food to pizza, pasta, and burgers is ridiculous. There is far more to European food than that, that would be like if someone said Asian food is rice, noodles, and chicken. Obviously there is more to their food, same goes for European food.

For centuries, European food was bland and tasteless because that's all they had to work with until they started leaving their own little neighborhood to explore the rest of the world. There was an improvement once they brought spices back from Asia, and colorful vegetables from the Americas. But still, all those spices and all that color went into the same bland and tasteless meals...that lipstick on a pig analogy.

Don't forget, a lot of those Asian dishes developed from poverty meals. They're not much different from Europeans in that their everyday meals usually consist of throwing together whatever collection of food items they can find. The stuff you're eating today is no more dressed up than the European dishes you're complaining about. One big difference is that since they've been working with those spices a lot longer than Europeans, they had more time to perfect and experiment with them.

Asian food sold to westerners isn't authentic Asian food.

Fast food isn't an accurate representation of a country's food. Personally I would choose shepherd's pie, roast chicken, roast ham, stews etc over asian food.

Italian mogs Asian food.. Asian is nice every once in a while but it gets old pretty fast.. I could eat Italian everyday and not get bored, and it doesn't even have 1/10th of the variety of Asian food but still beats it.. Portuguese and Greek food are amazing as well... as for the rest of Europe, I agree with you.

Andrew Schulz has a bit where he says that the quality of food is inversely proportional to the rights of women in said country..

i like asian food and seafood but idk OPs point. I also like italian and either good gyros, pizzas or pastas.

it would get old only eating asian type seafood. I like a good pasta style sea food with the muscles, shrimp ect in alfredo sauce

Imagine having such peasant taste buds that you actually think Asian food is superior to Italian or French.

Have you actually been to those countries whose cuisine you're comparing? If you've only tried the westernized weak-ass version of Asian food made with ingredients that won't disturb your European white boy stomach, don't even say that you like Asian food...you would vomit if you got within a 1 mile radius of an actual Asian food shack. On the other hand, unless you've tried pizza and pasta in Italy, don't fool yourself that you know what it tastes like, even remotely.
