'The Matrix' (1999) is actually about gender fluidity & the hetero normative lie
Where's Madvillainy? There's a new meaning to the end sequence of the film... "Wake up!"
"...I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you. A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you."

"The Matrix stuff was all about the desire for transformation but it was all coming from a closeted point of view.
"We had the character of Switch - who was a character who would be a man in the real world and then a woman in the Matrix."
Lilly doesn't know "how present my transness was in the background of my brain as we were writing" The Matrix.
"But it all came from the same sort of fire that I'm talking about."
She was always drawn to science fiction because "we were existing in a space where the words didn't exist, so we were always living in a world of imagination".

I'm not going to assume what the Wachowskis' vision was for the Matrix, as they are the creators and no one knows their true intent. But to me, it seems like the Matrix is really a religious story, IE about Jesus. Neo is supposed to a Jesus/savior type character.

Watch as Neo steps out of the phone booth, moving in slow motion, watching all NPC sheeple. They're all living the heteronormative lie - but he knows the truth.
He's enlightened, effectively achieving the equivalent of an "ego death." He knows the truth about sexuality - its fluidness - and he knows there's no going back.
As the camera pans out, overlooking from above, Neo takes to the sky, figuratively becoming "The Superman." The shackles have been broken. No longer is he bound by the rigidity of heterosexuality, and all it's evil incantations and machinations.
He's become transcendent.

Seems like they fked up in revealing some chit in the movie, they're handlers made them go trans as punishment and now they're trying to make out as though the secret meaning behind it was about mentally ill trannys.

Weird that this thread popped up today. I am literally rewatching the matrix right now.
The film is extremely based and any woke *******ry these transkents want to inject into it post-facto is purely based on the current mores of modern soyciety.
I assume the producer based juice Joel Silver (The Warriors, Lethal Weapon I-IV, Predator, Die Hard, Demolition Man, V for Vendetta) is responsible for the majority of the film's brilliance and the trans*******s who ended up directing it were merely playthings in his Semetic claws.
Stay mad goyim.

No it wasn't. It was a amalgamation of cyberpunk books and short stories from the 60s to the 80s.
The whole "jacking into the matrix" is straight out of William Gibson's Neuromancer. They even called it "the matrix" in that book.
They decided to change the meaning recently. The Wacko-skis were driving by the seat of their pants the entire time and wanted to make a cool arse science fiction movie. It definitely doesn't line up with any political or social narrative, aside from maybe "be careful with technology". It's why the 2nd and 3rd movies sucked so bad. They didn't have a clue what to do after the first one.

The matrix is about reality as it truly is and also how we perceive it. It takes from a lot of mystical and religious teaching and melds it into an edgy, dystopian story that was unique and interesting at the time (it's still a pretty cool story bro). Any trans nonsense added now is just that, nonsense. I'm open to being wrong, I just don't see it. This guy is just trying to make the shoe fit retrospectively IMO.

Switch was supposed to be a man in the real world and a woman in the Matrix?
Then why did she look and sound exactly the same in both worlds?

There are elements of many religions, historical events, and cultures in the series.
Frankly, the first is a masterpiece. 2 and 3 are mediocre brainless action movies that go nowhere.

Let's break down Neo's final quote...
"...I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change.Speaking to those experiencing gender dysphoria, struggling with their gender identity.
Neo is breaking down the Berlin-esque walls of heterosexual society, exposing the truth of gender fluidity to all. He's helping them visualize a sexual utopia, where we aren't shackled by biology, culture, or history. A world where anything is possible.
Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you."
A nod to a transhumanist future. A world where nothing is set in stone. Where anything is possible.

So having established that, they could have had Switch played by John Travolta in the real world and Charlize Theron within the Matrix if they really wanted to show this.

Just no. The matrix was an analogy for many things but they weren’t even close to hitting the mark if they by some miracle actually were trying to push gender fluidity and trans acceptance they fell and made a grout prolong movie about what reality is and how none of us in modern society are free without knowing it.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.

It's their movie series, ain't gonna pretend to know any better than they do. 2 and 3 sucked and 1 aged poorly, anyway. But if the real meaning was about "I need to be another gender" then that's a pretty lame message. Not everyone has to attach so much of their identity to what terms they use to describe their genitalia. It's all gotten way outta control. Honestly, the people so absorbed by pronouns and transitioning are the ones STUCK IN THE MATRIX, not the ones who escaped it, so their message falls in on itself.

Death of the Author is a concept from mid-20th Century literary criticism; it holds that an author's intentions and biographical facts (the author's politics, religion, etc) should hold no special weight in determining an interpretation of their writing
