tell the truth HOW many times have you had to

use a walkthrough to beat a game?

only once here. for the water tower on legend of zelda ocarina of time. . i tried to get past that level for days before finally throwing in the towel and finding a walkthrough

had an ex gf. who played zelda and she kept the walkthrough by her side at all times. use to ask why you even playing it if you are just following directions throughout the entire game. but she did that for windwaker, majores mask, ocarina of time...after i got her playing it she was hooked

My walkthru for the water temple in ocarina of time was having my buddy sit next to me and tell me what to do in certain spots lol.

I've definitely checked them a few times over the years for various games but usually only for a very specific piece of information and after I had spent time trying to figure it out myself. Where to find a certain pokemon, how to get out of a specific room, etc.

No idea why someone would want to sit there and follow one from start to finish though.
I call it "Celebration". It's sexual, and violent...

Zelda?

Often.

When i was young, id sit and figure **** out the hard way.

Now that im older, id rather play through and experience the game quick and efficiently.

Still have no idea how people where supposed to figure out hidden stuff in the zelda games without a guide

every post you make is belittling someone. you talk chit about other lifters or you had a thread earlier where everyone laughed at you. just the simple fact you constantly bash, Id bet real money that pic is not even you. if it is then props to you. you have put in the work. but your mentality/attitude is not indicative. probably some 300 lbs jack ass eating snicker bars all day miscing

Theres one part in Zelda OOT where you engage a scene with shiek by attempting to walk up the stairs to the Goron area.

But for days and days I was just teleporting up there, bypassing the stairs.

So I had to get a walkthrough just to learn I had to physically walk to the area, not teleport

I used guide all the way through Zelda OOT. I was only like 12 so IDK if I could have gotten far at all.

Portal 2 I had to YouTube 50% of the game. Guess my IQ is too low.

Edit: I started to replay OOT this month. No guide or assistance.

I used to be against using a walkthrough unless absolutely necessary but these days I think it actually makes the game more enjoyable especially on older JRPGs with tons of secrets.

I guess it all depends on the game and where I am in it or the lore behind the game itself.

If the lore is interesting (i.e. Hollow Knight), then I will try and just play the game as is and do my best to get through it as well as I can.

If its a game I have played a dozen times (i.e. Mega Man Battle Network series), then I will use a walk through mainly to collect the items needed in the game.

Some games are just more interesting lore wise when you take the time to read things and just explore it.
