gun lovers and non

its common to see someone with a side arm in holster. as you walk through a store.

what would you think if you seen a modern day Rifleman., Chuck Mcain. A guy that instead of carring a handgun carried winchester around with him?

i dont know about the laws in your state but here at least use to be it may have changed you could freely carry a rifle or shotgun. unless an officer told you it was causing a disturbance and you had to put it away

To me, open carrying (either a pistol or long gun) is a bit LARPy and try-hard, but its a necessary evil to keep the anti-gun Karens in check that the Second Amendment exists, their feelings don't matter, and they can't make it go away even if they're triggered.

An analogy would be how athiests are cringe as fuk, but they're a necessary countermeasure to religious zealots who think we should be burning witches and not using any modern medicine in 2021.

Actually, it is completly legal here in Washington to open carry.

I see people open carrying handguns here all the time. Not so many with rifles mainly because it scares Karen's. I have seen a few though....

Our state has constitutional open carry, but if you want to concealed carry you need a permit. Its shall issue so as long as you pass the background check the police are required to issue you one.

I don't know any gun lovers.

I do know a lot of freedom lovers however.

Concealed carry of handguns by moral and law-abiding people is great and I'm about as ardent an advocate of that as there is; and open carry of handguns is OK sometimes where governments infringe upon CCW rights and the person has no other choice of way to carry.

but although carrying a longgun in public is completely normal in an area where those might be used, such as in semi-rural or rural areas where hunting or shooting sports happening, or during a breakdown of law and order or disaster or mass crime event ..... only a dumbass would carry a longgun during normal times to a store or similar area where large numbers of people are doing daily business and where it isn't expected or normal for someone to be carrying a longgun.
