Crazy facts about the SR-71 Balckbird

-plane had 100s of missiles fired at it and outran every single one of them.

-the plane expands up to a foot in flight due to the metal expanding from friction heating.

-when grounded, fuel tanks leak due to metal contraction, but it’s expected and operations continue.

-had to be married to pilot this plane to help prevent defectors.

-was in service for 10 years before the public even knew about it.

-had to purchase titanium from Russia through shell companies to spy on Russia lolz.

Craziest thing of all, this plane is from the 60’s and has long been retired. You don’t think our military has already replaced this tech a time or two?

They probably have been flying the replacement what ever it is for years. Look at all those UFO sightings those Navel pilots have been seeing for years. I bet it is the replacement plane/drone (whatever it is).

The US Space Force also has that new spaceplane too

That’s why I haven’t jumped on the UFO/UAP sightings recently being aliens. Government spends billions on research you’ll never know about.

My mind would be blown if we have technology that defies physics

This just looks like a really fast plane tbh

They don't really need to replace it though, the whole idea of a "spy plane" is kinda outdated, like a battleship.

They have the U2 which still is in service (or was at least a few years ago, U2 is even older than the SR71) but there's just no where left for the tech to go really, any more advanced and you just have a satellite (which we have). It's near max'd out technology that doesn't need to be advanced further. Tech tree over.

True, but this is from the sixties. I don’t even think there were airbags then. For its time, this thing was super advanced.
