1.Biden administration blames Russia for cyberattack that shut down JBS plants
2.JBS also claims that the attack was done by cyber criminals based in Russia

Lol'd, the new normal. First oil and now meat.. hmm
If you aren't a hunter it's not too late to start. If that's too much for you, sign up for a CSA and know your local farmer/rancher. They're everywhere. The quality of meat is great too. If you can't find a local one look into CSAs or grass fed farms that deliver nationwide like Slanker meats, for example.

One of the groups I manage is an Information Security group...The VAST majority of ransomware attacks (99% of them) are easily stopped by the most basic deployment of antivirus/malware and basic patching.
That means these companies are grossly negligent for not having basic AntiVirus software deployed/patch management or a nation state is creating new zero day ransomware software specifically targeting certain verticals and industries.
Behind closed doors the news is that the pipeline attack came down to a basic patching issue. Im betting this meat plant is also devoid of basic security controls.
In the end the recovery from ransomware and encrypted data is easily recoverable if you have appropriate backups...Wipe the devices and restore.
At a minimum it appears these companies and some of our key infrastructure are an absolute train wreck for protecting basic data sets.

Then of course there are other non ransomware attacks like what happened to Equifax. A lot of these companies just don't place a lot of investment in security.

That means that electrical grids are next.
That means that electrical grids are next.
If you are on top of your game (which they obviously arent) this process shouldnt take long. Most major companies have disaster recovery/data restore windows that under 12 hours for their primary apps. So they reasonably should have it in a lab in 12 hours and potentially back in production within 24.
...And please note I dont have insight to the scope so this could be their entire data center infrastructure (ie numerous apps). Im just generalizing so please dont "tee off" on me..

I'm guessing the Russian government is coordinating with Russian hackers going after the US's oil and food infrastructure. This is before the Biden and Putin conference in Switzerland happening in 2 weeks. Putin seems to be testing Biden, and so far Biden isn't responding.

this is scarily common throughout the school districts.
i know a lot of teachers and there have been students who got into the system and messed it up.
it never gets reported and it can't even be considered hacking because the security is pathetic.
the places i've worked over the last few decades that actually knew their chit wasn't secured properly but didn't want to pay for proper security......

It's just amusing to me that every little thing that happened when Trump was president, was directly his fault and you couldn't tell lefties otherwise. Meanwhile... a literal dozen **** shows going on at once and lefties are just like 'its all good, man... c'mon'. Thank god our three letter agencies are undergoing mandatory sensitivity training. Lefties are more worried about fighting for trannies to use the little girl's room.

Lol.
This is likely the work of an alphabet agency which must not be named.
You can place a bet that there will be blackouts this summer and it will be blamed on a "hack"... but that won't be the real cause.

in 04 the population around here had decreased so some claim there may not be a Brood X lying dormant or claim just a few but it will be worse noise wise because it will take longer to find mate which means more mating calls.
IDK ground is still on the cold side a few inches down around here and these things are 8ft down so not quite yet warm enough to wake them.
