I think they got to do all kinds of paperwork and chit so they cant time it perfectly. They knew their chit was way overvalued so went ahead and sold some to raise some capitol, they knew with it being as high as it was they could sell some off before it got back to is real value. Genius move really, basically save the company from bankruptcy. Bag holders can atleast brag they saved AMC from bankruptcy with their donation.

out of all the meme stonks recently, AMC rustles me the most. I was so close to buying some. I was looking last summer and this january. When it was 3-4 dollars.

truth be told i wouldnt have held until it hit 50/60, i would have sold the first time it jumped to 15 or whatever it was but that is a sweet return. the amount i was going to put in would be significant. so rustled right now.

I'll definitely return to theatres soon and I have my own theatre in my basement. Kinda hard to beat 100' screens vs 101". Not to mention straight to streaming will likely end for blockbuster movies.

The general public doesn't care enough about a/v quality to warrant a buy in that sector, not to mention all those companies like Sony, Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha have multiple products lines and likely will only see a small uptick in sales.

But AMC has lost money for a long time and movie-goers should be thankful that so many people out there are willing to pump up their stock price and allow them to raise funds and keep themselves afloat longer. It's not the way capitalism is supposed to work, and they should be allowed to go bankrupt so they can be properly re-structured into a profitable model, but we can be thankful
