Would you be able to forgive a man for killing your child?

This is a few years old, but got me thinking.

“Father Of Murdered Pizza Delivery Driver Forgives Killer“

Being a person of faith is one thing, but hugging the person that killed your child is something else. He was stabbed to death while delivering pizza.

Everyone involved suffered. I think the sadness and regret from the killer was real. What a mess. I think there are some depths of faith and forgiveness I’ll never reach tbh.

A questionable maybe if it was truly an accident. A hard no if it was deliberate or something like drunk driving.

I don't forgive people for anything. So no. I'd spend my life trying to trap the killer and then torture them for decades.

This. He may be sorry and all but he killed your child. He would find out what evil a person can be capable of from me. I’m a very forgiving person but there’s things like this that I just couldn’t let go and obviously it wouldn’t change what happened or make you feel better but for killing my child? You’re gonna be stalked, fukked with until you think you’re insane, then eventually wake up tied to something in a basement with rusty tools laying around.

I hope I never am put in that situation. However, I imagine if I believe there is true remorse and heartfelt sorrow, then I believe I may be able to forgive but I would not be able to forget. I am not certain, though. Hard question to answer.

No. Unless they feel enough remorse that they off themselves. If they kill themselves I'll consider it. Still probably wouldn't though.

Exactly this. I think families who forgive the killers of their loved ones are the ultimate cucks. It’s borderline betrayal.

Maybe if the person was having a heart attack while driving and accidentally crashed into my son. Really don't think there are any other instances where I would ever think about forgiving someone for that. Especially not outright intentional murder.
