Wife of 14 years couldn’t even bother with a bday card

Yeah we have 3 kids and are crazy busy but getting nada makes me feel so under appreciated. Am I being too emo here???!?

Depends on how you guys share birthdays as a couple, what you did previously, what you do for her, and other aspects of the marriage and dynamic. In isolation isnt a big deal. If theres no other issues no big deal. If you have made it apparent you dont care for birthdays, no big deal.

Sounds like theres other things going on thouggh. Be an adult and have a conversation with her about how you feel

We need some context here. Has she always given you cards previously? Have you both always celebrated each others bdays previously with cards/gifts?

Birthdays are a big deal to me. I still take off (when weekday) my bday and my sons bday every year. I go to the beach every year to see my mom for her bday and take her out to dinner. I always try to acknowledge peoples bdays when I know when they are. I threw a great surprise 40th bday party for my ex, after he'd done nothing for my 40th. Some people are just diks.
