british double schoolgirl murderer gets parole..
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-57384393
cliffs
Colin Pitchfork first ever man convicted by dna(didnt kill them by pitchfork before you ask)
served 30 years now deemed suitable for release at the age of 61
Cliffs of cliffs
what could possibly go wrong
I remember this case well its been on telly many times various docs its a good watch, there was a 'controversial' mass dna screen to catch him (possibly now illegal), he evaded it originally by persuading a colleague to do it for him (who also went to jail)..
imo a complete animal incapable of reforming, victims parents still alive, decision to release is 'under review'

I remember watching a documentary on this animal.
"'After considering the circumstances of his offending, the progress made while in custody and the evidence presented at the hearing, the panel was satisfied that Mr Pitchfork was suitable for release" - Just LOL
This is a guy that raped and murdered little girls. There are no words

I'm amazed they kept him in for 30 years, he'd be out in 10 at most if that happened today

Imagine someone saying you or a loved ones life is worth someone being in prison for a bit over a decade. Imagine being told someone who ended their life gets to continue theirs.
It almost pays to be a criminal.
Some dumb bitch on her phone plows into your kid doing 3x the speed limit permanently making them a vegetables. "2-3 years" and they get to claim insurance.
It's even worse for the US because there is just a catch and release program. You wonder why when something really bad happens there suspect always have 4-6 felonies? lol. No strike system, just keep committing crimes.
As I always say, I wonder if the judges and legal team behind all of this would be this way if it involved someone they knew?
You kill two people in cold-blood, there is no rehabilitation, your life ALONE is not even worth half of theirs yet the law does not see it this way.

Every thread about a confirmed rapist, or someone who assaults an innocent person (especially the old, young, or weak) I say the same thing. Bullet to the skull. If you rape and murder two little girls, you should either rot in a cell. If he gets let out someone should be waiting with a shotgun to end him. Just insane they'd let anyone who raped and murdered two 15 year old girls go free.

A maximum punishment is not about bringing someone back, it's not about evening the equation - which is impossible since an innocent life is worth more. It's about giving a just punishment and letting people know regardless if you think this doesn't dissuade or not, you don't get to just kill who you want.
Eye for an eye fallacy is probably one of the most pathetic NPC arguments. So yeah, what happens when there are even repeat crimes after being let out? Those victims "Can never come back" too. Fuking bleeding hearts, it's all fine as long as it's not affecting you.
If someone killed anyone I truly loved and were out I would make sure of a few things. And what's sad is I'd probably get the same or worse sentence.
You completely disdain all innocent life with their line-of-thinking. Just to be clear I am talking about clear-cut cold-blooded murderers, obviously there are circumstances and grey areas.
For example an Asian clerk who complied with a robbers wishes was shot point blank in the head as he left, well there is no argument here, no rehabilitation he has to be executed.
A man abducting a child from a playground, sexually assaulting them in his home before strangling them. There's is no discussion, there is no rehabilitation, you execute him.
It's a privilege as well that they get to be executed in a quick manner.

Released at only 60 years old? What would you guys do if this guy winded up getting a house near you and you had a younger daughter? The court system is literally putting people in positions where they'll have to potentially murder someone and face prison time themselves to protect their family.

It doesn't feel good, but he served his time, he's free to go.
Theydecided the life he took was worth 30 years, that's on them, not him.
****ty person who'll burn in hell? Yes, but if you don't believe someone should be set free then don't give them a sentence of 30 years and then get upset when he serves the time. The court's fault.
I'd off him if I was the victims family and I'd actually be happy he's out so that now I have that chance.

1.On mobile but I think the court said a MINIMUM of 30 years
2.It was two murders, not one. Both initially violent sexual assaults

He served the time sentence that was GIVEN to him. You want him to serve longer because what he did warrants it in our minds/hearts, but he wasn't given that punishment so he's free to go after 30 years. There isn't any problem with my post except that it doesn't feel good internally to say/admit to. I am not happy about it, and like I said I'd kill him if I was the victim's families, and now that he's free I'm able to do that, so it's a good thing. If you think him serving more time is what should have happened, same here, but that isn't what happened, because they told him 30 years and he did it. Miscers always are too emotional with things. This guy is a piece of ****, but served his time. I'm not saying he deserves to be forgiven in the eyes of the world at large or is somehow reformed, but in the eyes of the court he's free. If people want to beat his ass or whatever that's good too and is totally separate from the issue of him being released. If it was proven it was him he should have been killed right after the trial, but that didn't happen either so we can't be mad when people serve their time and then get out because that's what we determined was "justice" in that situation.Three problems with what you said
