How much can you bicep curl?

Either barbell curls or dumbbell curls. What is the amount you do for reps (8-12 rep range) vs. max if you try to max.

I don't have any idea, but the other day I picked up the 45 lb. dumbbells at the end of our workout to knock out a set of hammer curls, and I did 25 reps without swinging them.

Max barbell is 135lbs x 5

DB Preacher curls, I don’t really care to go above 35lbs. Incline DB I keep it at 25lbs.

Never really tried. Not much of a "curl bro".
Highest I will work up to are 45s for a set of 10-12 each arm.

Just so everyone knows, its a bad idea to max out on iso lifts. But 8-12 reps is fine.

IIRC, i think my best was Cambered bar 140s somewhere and Alternating DB around 70ish. I dont do a whole lot aof arm work anymore. My left brachioradialis got HELLA inflamed nearly 2 years ago and a steroid pack got it under control but now, when i do biceps, it feels...weird and post workout, it cramps up HELLA easy.

When you "flex" your biceps, do they contract so hard that they almost cramp? Or back then did they at least?

pretty sure mods now dont even do anything for steroid posts unless its someone asking for a source or making a whole post just about steroids.

Well, they were very hard as compared to the rest of my muscles at that time. I can't recall actual cramping when flexing though.

well, the average individual doesnt have a solid mind-muscle connection with the biceps or most muscles for that matter. So when we tell the muscles to contract, they barely do so. But if you have a GOOD mind-muscle connection, like a Mr. O competitor, then you have to train your body to fight off the cramp when you pose. But also, a good mind-muscle connect allows you to be waayyyyyyyyyy stronger
