OK, so you flip them off and instead of shooting your trunk they follow you home and later burn it down with your family inside? Observing that A led to B =/= A justified B

No one has said anyone deserves to get shot over a middle finger. They have said the middle finger led to the shooting. It's an unemotional analysis of cause and effect with an admonishnent that people should avoid inviting unpredictable confrontation.

The emotional appeals are coming from you and people like you. This is not a hard concept to grasp.
