Ouch, was hoping you would at least say its the dude initiating.

What kind of person asks those questions and isn't interested in that person? That doesn't sound work related at all

Negged for letting your wife sleep on the couch. Wtaf, OP?

Why not tell your wife to invite this guy and let them do whatever they want to do to each other while you watch? You’re one step away from being a cukk anyway.

Get it together, man! Take control and do something about it. It’s not OK, OP! Ok?!

Ya I think it's she's wanting attention, 100% always felt like just a paycheck, also she's trying to spin this and put it on me. Im.ending the couch sleeping soon like immediately. Of course she's says I'm overreacting and nothing happened

Do you guys go do fun things together? Are you having sex regularly and communicating your wants and desires?
I'm guessing there are issues beyond this texting but hopefully it helps you guys figure out how to either have a more fulfilling relationship or maybe it will make you don't have a strong desire to be with each other.

If you "just feel like a paycheck," that's much more concerning than a few texts.

Not really it's pretty much business, being it to separate rooms is really detrimental I told her we need to sleep in the same bed she seemed ok with it I need to work on it

This.

Also the text aren’t that bad to be honest, but it’s bad that she initiates it. It sounds like she wants attention from other men, and it’s probably because something else is wrong in your marriage. Like you said, he’s fat, so it seems unlikely she’s turned on by him/into him sexually.

It sounds like you're roommates, rather than a married couple. Do you spend time together? Do you do things together? Or do you both lead independent lives other than sharing the same house?

Like most things in life, laptops are not a set-it-and-forget-it kind of deal, they need some maintenance every once in a while. Heating is because of dust buildup (tight spaces in order to make it small in size) and/or thermal paste being dried up (higher temperatures than desktops). If you service it like once every 1-2 years it will last you infinitely. Get a new battery once it goes to **** (probably in 3-5 years). Reinstall the OS if it becomes slower although this is no longer a thing since they all have SSDs nowadays. I have a 10 year old Asus laptop that I can't seem to find a reason to replace because it runs perfectly, especially since popping an SSD inside of it. In the 10 years I've probably cleaned it and replaced thermal paste a total of 3 times, replaced 1 battery and reinstalled the OS twice...all of it being like 3 hours of combined. The "hurr durr laptops bad, get a macbook" argument is only made by monumental morons that have 0 technical knowledge and ability...or boomers.

To answer your original question, get literally any laptop you can afford and take a little bit of care of it.

why does your wife go out of her way to text him? does she text you "how's your day", "how you feeling ", "what are you doing this weekend" ? does she do that to her other friends? seems weird because she could have asked him those questions while in the office.... but she felt it was important enough to text him. does she not see the stupidity in this? she knows he's married, yet she thinks its ok to text a married man? how would she feel if you had a work wife and you were texting out of the office?

nothing wrong with having work friends; i'm cool with a few people in my office but i have no interest in communicating with them after hours.

The sleeping on the couch is the biggest red flag.

A male coworker shouldnt be, if they keep the chit chat just friendly. Especially if he is married too. You can't control her actions, but if she just sees it as friendly work stuff and you create a big deal out of something that ISNT going on under the assumption that something may be, it will just drive her away....and to him. You have to show some trust in her.

Men and Women work together. And they will small talk and work talk. As long as its not out right flirting or past work hours(IE shes texting him while with you or whatever) then it shouldn't be a big deal. You do have to trust her.

noting sexual, no meetup's just general chit chat like "how you doing today" "what are your plans this weekend" stuff like that at first she told me "oh when i have work questions i ask him stuff" but it's more general daily chit chat. kinda ****ty since we both use skype at work and she hardly ever messages me. I confroted her about and she got mad of course at me. What would be your next move?

Damn, this thread hits home. My longest relationship (5 years) ended because my ex started "talking" to a guy at work.

They're still together 5 years later.

While I think this is generally true, if she texts him throughout the day and in the morning, that means that he's the first thing on her mind after she wakes up and that's phucked.

I doubt they're already banging but nip this in the bud, man. Talking to the guy's wife would legit be hilarious, will rep for screenshots

X2

Had the same thing happen.

They sat right next to each other, so why would they need to text all day about "work stuff". It made no sense.

Sleeping separately is a mistake. Figure something out but you need to sleep in the same bed as your wife.

Assuming this isn’t a troll job you set very clear boundaries now;

“Speak to him again outside of a strictly work related context and I pack my bags and leave. Now what’s the issue with our relationship that you are texting someone else?”

Also speak to the guy; “you WILL cease all communication with my wife or this will turn into a different kind of problem between you and I. Ill reach out to your wife and see if she shares my concerns”

if she says you're overreacting and it's nothing to worry about, suggest a sit down with the guy and his wife to hash it out.

If she's being honest, she won't mind and he won't either. How his wife reacts to it will tell you even more, because if she didn't know about it until your sit down, then the dude is definitely hiding something.

It kinda just sounds like you guys don't small talk that much so she's looking for the small talk fulfillment elsewhere. Can't really say more without seeing the texts or knowing their relationship.

why would you want to risk that getting back to your wife, whether or not it's true? Unless you simply don't care how she feels. And you can best believe he's gonna tell her, whether or not he's trying to smash.

She can get that from a female friend. If my wife was texting small talk to a male co-worker, that's beyond reasonable boundaries imo.

This is why it's important to clarify these types of boundariesbeforegetting married.

OP, you're the best person to make the best possible decision in this situation, some random advise from random person online won't necessarily be a good thing for you.
With that being said, you're not sleeping together in bed, no cuddles, probably very little to no sex and, probably no affection by the sound of it, and now she's chatting to random dudes at work. I mean I hate to say it but the bandage needs to be pulled, it doesn't look good.

With all the advise in the world, if your relationship is at that stage, I am not sure if there's much you can do. Break ups can be shiit and we have all been there but once you move on and find someone who actually enjoys your time, wants your attention and affection, wants to fool around, it just shows how amazing life can become.
