Back then Popeye's was only in the worst parts of the ghetto. My neighborhood was bad but it wasn't that bad because at least we didn't have a Popeye's.

In the 80's, my dad would go to a local place called Fastway, which was really just a small grocery store that also made Fried chicken. That was splurging.
