Seems more about building GamePads value with MS still, than providing a good quantity of great games. Maybe next gen they'll get there.

I mean those aren’t mutually exclusive. They are building game pass value by providing a good quantity of good games. That's how they build overall value in gaming. It's not like game pass is just full of mediocre games. It wouldn't be growing so rapidly in that case.

If it hits that date, I’ll pass haha.

All they really need to do is create Halo 3 with improved graphics and a few modern day tweaks. The blueprint of arguably the most successful shooter is right there. This is my opinion until I play it.

Of course they aren't mutually exclusive but to me there is a lot more value of lots of games at low cost, rather than top tier games, and that will appeal to a lot of people for sure, possibly even a majority. But there is also an audience that are going to want to play games on the level of TLoU, Sushi Man, God of War, RnC, Persona, Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Uncharted, Spiderman, etc, etc, and GamePass just still doesn't even come close to having a stable of top tier games like Sony does. And judging on this conference they will not anytime soon, although they are at least heading in the right direction. Probably the smartest thing they are doing since they don't have many games yet is paying to put games like Plague Tale Sequel on GamePasa, as it causes a PS gamer who insists on playing that at launch to think "wait, this is included in GamePass?". Again, creating great value for the service. GamePass is pretty much becoming a no brainer for the casual gamer as well as the poor gamer.

I bet I could suck your dik better than anyone else ever has.

I think this was exactly what Xbox needed to showcase, and I’ll be waiting for the return fire from Sony. Although I feel like Sony has dropped their major exclusives earlier, and I don’t know what’s in the pipeline for them.

I think it’s obvious now that Xbox is just trying to build the GamePass, and with such, they’ll be holding onto games for a bit. I think a couple of these could release sooner, but when you have massive AAA games, they’ll release them one at a time with enough space inbetween. Preventing them from competing with themselves. So this will lead to games like Avowed, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Gears 6, Hell Blade 2, etc., will all be pushed out. Also makes people need to subscribe for longer, thus betting Microsoft their profits they need. Then as a gamer hopping from one AAA title to the next, without need to buy anything extra, is pretty sweet honestly. A lot of these smaller indie games too are cool to see, and with them being on GamePass and not me needing to spend $20-$40, why not give them a chance? Some of them really pushing the next gen fidelity.

Also waiting on whatever else they have up their sleeves, and potentially some more acquisitions. I wonder if another AAA IP is more valuable to them compared to buying a studio and throwing their collections on GamePass. This is how they make up for not currently having those hard hitting exclusives like PlayStation. Instead of spending $70 over and over, you’re getting them for “nothing” if you’re already subscribed to GamePass.

Gawd I just wish 343 would finally just get the balls to differentiate SP and MP.

Let MP be whatever the people who want to play HD H3 or H2 or whatever over and over and over again want. Hell, have a mode for each type.

Let SP be about us inhabiting this futuristic super soldier. Don't revert the futuristic cool chit just because we don't want it in multiplayer. I wanna be a gotdamn super soldier not the same generic call of duty guy with shields we've been for so many damn games.

Halo 5 didn't do it perfect but it was going the right direction. Separate MP and SP and indulge in what people want out of each because obviously they aren't the same.

Yea, I love those Sony exclusives from last gen. But I consider myself a hardcore gamer, who isn't poor, and find a lot of value in game pass. Diverse genres, consistent releases. I've gamed more the past year in a long time. So I don't think it's only for poors or casuals. I'd consider casuals those who pick up COD and a couple sports games every year.

I do think MS is missing something key from their portfolio that Sony excels at. And that is Mascot Story Driven third person single player games, which your list has a bunch of. And of course the quality, which MS is improving, and we will see how their future games launching this year fair. Several from your list are 90+ metascore games (TLOU, GOW, Persona, Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Uncharted) and MS only has a couple of those from last gen.

I believe you bro but I'm still going to pass

Overall thoughts:

-they should not have ended with a CG trailer (Redfall). And a bit disappointed Arkane is doing a mulitplayer game (can be played single player though).
-MS will exceed 1 first party title every 3 months, they already are for the rest of 2021 (Halo, Psychonauts, Forza Horizon, Flight Sim, not to mention all the game pass day 1 games).
-Excited to jump into Doom Eternal with Ray Tracing
-Forza Horizon 5 and Flight Sim look bananas.
-A bunch they didn't show today that's in the pipeline: Everwild, Perfect Dark, Hellblade 2, Elder Scrolls, Avowed, Coalitions next game, Compulsions Game, State of Decay 3, Fable, Forza Motorsport, Indiana Jones
-Deathloop and Tokyo Ghostwire coming to game pass once sony timed exclusivity deals end.
-Sea of thieves update looks awesome.
-the Avalance game teaser seems to be about drug running?

Updated the main page with some individual trailers, here they are.

Wot? Sony has released like 6-7 exclusives since the PS5 launch, xbox only has had what ... the medium? And sony still has GOW, Horizon, Deathloop, The square enix partnership game and probably more that I havnt remembered or still yet to be announced in an event type setting. Sony's output and offerings currently are way more than what Xbox has offered.

Showcase was a banger. So much to be hyped for and almost all of it coming to Gamepass. Sucks we need to wait a lil longer for some of the titles but a ton of content coming and they didn't even show some of the bigger AAA titles. BF2042 is looking like it will live up to its name and Halo Infinite multiplayer is gonna be a lot of fun especially with the new dynamics of the grapple.

Great time to be a Gamepass Chad!

We've had two days of E3 and so far the only game that I'm even remotely hyped for was AoE 4.
Plague Tale 2 was a nice surprise tho.

Couple new tidbits today.
-Hellblade 2 got a very early look and talk from the creative lead. (not a real trailer or anything). Seems like a way out, which I'm fine with. Take all the time they need.

-A Plague Tale: Innocence is getting next gen enhancements. Rumor is it's a psplus game for July, and it's on Gamepass. If you haven't played this game yet, I highly recommend doing so (on a new gen console if you have one, and once the update hits). Truly a beautiful game, hits hard emotionally.
