I added the entire container. I thought I'd be able to see the oil getting "full" in the tank. But it just kept filling. Thought there might be a leak. Anyways. It will start but white smoke EVERYWHERE. and it starts spitting oil out the exhaust.
I can't find the misc sub for lawn care. Maybe that's on platinum. I forget.

Just siphon out the oil out, use a tube or a pump. Or just lean that bitch over.
The oil lubricates the engine, you don't want to put too much in the machine.

And naaa that's actually not a good side of my yard. I planted 23 palm trees and 100s of plants the last 10 years. I should make a real thread about it. Thanks for your reply

I've got one of those manual reel push mowers, it's a bitch to operate, but it's a good workout at least.
No need for gas/electricity either. Still though the main thing is it takes a lot of physical effort.

Gonna have to buy a new one now, white smoke means the cylinder output of the main steering bearing has run off and needs a detune to bring the hydraulic oil back within the overload capacity

A lot of people just hire illegal immigrants from Mexico and exploit them by paying them way below minimum wage. They also hire them to clean their homes. I think this is wrong, so I choose to mow my own lawn and we keep our home in good order.
Grass is actually the biggest irrigated crop in the United States. When you think about it, how the average suburbanite chooses to mow their lawn probably reflects how they would run their farm if they had one.

^ my goal is to have the nicest grass in my neighborhood. It was 80% weeds 2 years ago. Now it's about 75% St augustine. I actually think st augustine sucks. But that's what I had to work with. I learned a lot about lawn care the last 18 months.

It’s obviously burning oil bro, it’s somehow getting into the cylinder which isn’t a good thing (blown seal somewhere)
Lawn mower engines are pretty ****ing tough though, drain the excess oil (id probably drain the fuel before too otherwise you’ll flood the engine if you turn it upside down), look at the manual and see how much oil it needs, then use the dipstick a few times when your refilling it so you don’t overfill it.
When you get it running again if there’s no smoke just run it for 10 or so minutes and check the oil again, confirm it’s not burning any

Serious post.
You obviously need to drain some of the oil. There is a oil drain somewhere but if you absolutely can't find it you can tilt/turkey baster/hoover lip it out (not srs on the last one).
As for the smoke, when you overfilled it, there was not enough room for the engine internals to move so that extra oil gets pushed all over the place and in your case burned (that's the simplest way I can explain that).
You likely did 0 damage but it might be a good idea to remove the spark plug and clean it as they can get gummed up. If this is not a task you're up to, just run it as it is likely just fine.
You're good op.
Edit- credentials: grandpa owned a lawn mower repair shop and ol son learned a few things. Also mechanic.

Take the dipstick out, turn the mower to the right, let some oil out, put back on wheels, insert dipstick, measure oil - repeat until the oil is in range.
Mowers have horizontal pistons and if you overfill you fill the bottom of the cylinder with oil that will then slosh back and forth - when its off that oil will seep past the piston rings and fill the top of your cylinder and when burning will foul your spark plug. Most have an oil slinger to lubricate the top of the engine, if its overfilled, it won't fling the oil properly and could cause valve / cam issues over time.
