Now let’s say one day you find out she saved nothing and blew it all on partying with Tyrone and paying his bills and paying his child support. And not only that, she got into debt because she co signed a failed business for Tyrone. And not only that but she is liable in a law suit over the business.

So let’s say she racked up $1 million in liabilities. And you are jointly liable or you get sued and have to defend yourself or she takes your money in divorce court because she gets at least half of what you saved. See where I’m going with this.

agree with the first part, but i think a man has the right to make a choice on how to respond, within reason. that sort of behavior cant go unchecked

Honestly physical abuse I don’t feel is actually worse. Physical abuse is pretty cut an dry what violence is.

Mental abuse, gas lighting, you can end up not even thinking you can remember anything correctly. Isolated and you feel insane. You don’t know what’s wrong or right.

Together it’s a very nasty combo.

Though when you throw in sexual abuse that happens over and over, with physical and mental. Well, you end up pretty sideways, even more so if it starts in childhood.

And when dealing with someone who an addict it’s another layer, that may or may not be abuse, but either way can cause ptsd /complex ptsd because it’s traumatic

ironically Lesbian relationships have very high incidents of domestic abuse and it is quite common in homosexual relationships as well

the myth of the Straight , wife beater vest wearing brute being the only abuser is just that ...a myth

If you have been raised and educated right, if you come from a normal family without any issues, drinking isn’t all of a sudden going to somehow turn you into a woman beater.

You don’t have to be an expert to see that someone who would be okay with beating women up (assuming there’s no reasonable excuse) has some sort of an issue in their head.
From personal experience, it’s usually always someone from a dysfunctional family. Abusive parents, low IQ, combination of nature and nurture. It’s a tough one because it’s usually something people can’t escape because it’s in built from childhood, it’s just a matter of time before that person gets triggered and snap.

I have zero tolerance for any lying or gaslighting. It honestly pisses me off more than anything. One thing I cling to is what I think reality is and why I know it's true. And I always demand proof to change that.

Ya the sad thing is, most people have no idea they are gas lighting. Even if you record them doing it. Like a not so graphic example,

Partner A yells at partner B and throws something at them. When partner B gets upset and let’s say shuts down, partner A doesn’t understand why later that day they don’t want to hangout. When partner A asks partner B why they don’t want to hang out, and partner B says you threw a plate at me. Partner A will minimize it, blame shift it or all together deny it. Like, oh I just dropped the plate, or well sometimes the way you act is so ridiculous you make me insane and anyone that had to deal with you would have done that, or that never happened stop making things up. If partner B continues to suggest how it happen like you did throw a plate at me and call me an idiot because I forgot to get your cinnamon French toast at the store. Partner A can become enraged yelling more or physically violent even if partner B recorded the whole thing partner A is incapable of taking responsibility/seeing their wrong they most likely honestly believe they didn’t do anything wrong

This cycle will happen over and over till partner b actually feels like they can not trust their grip on reality

Yeah my dad used to beat the sh*t out of his family, and he did this because he did not know any other way to solve problems, or perceived problems.

It's sort of like that big ape who hits the smaller ape for taking its tree branch, or because the bird flying above took a sh*t on it.

Man i swear my mom does this, and i keep telling her what she done and she denies it, then i give her examples, and then she just starts crying.

Then she's like stop bringing up the past and i'm like, you were criticising my behaviour, which is a result of your behaviour during my childhood, yada yada.

Truth is, it's up to me to change, she actually can't do anything to help me, even if she admits it.

Dysfunctional families are the root of most problems.

Really, I think the complement to family values is weakness, perversion and the kind of sin that actually hurts everyone.

Social integration seems like the only consistent solution. Isolated networks report domestic abuse more often, it seems.

Physical abuse is not bad at all as a guy. The social implication of cheating causes infinitely more stress.

You do not need to use the word abuse every time. Laws exist for common problems. Witholding money in bad faith to manipulate someone else should count as a libel case.

I agree most isolated people act like wild animals completely unaware of the fact they're acting insane abusing people. There's no reason ever for cruelty with family.

I actually think gay people are expressing this wild animal abuse not realizing they are perverting/abusing someone else by going for this, regardless how much they get away with. It kind of blows my mind how some populations all act "normal" where everyone gets civilization while others seem directionless.

cmon you were an adult when you went into it and when you came out , according to your attitude regarding addictions that's all pretty much your own fault so stop whining about it and get on with it.....zero empathy

Agreed with thread title 100%. Men not being able to discipline their wives due to "domestic violence" is leading to the breakdown of so many marriages and creating many single mothers.
