what do you think of people blasting bluetooth speakers in public parks/trails/pools?

I used to not mind it. Heck I even bring a small speaker a lot of times to play something chill but it is small and only heard around myself

seems lately you can't go anywhere in ATX, barton springs, greenbelt, etc without someone blasting house or trap on one of those giant JBLs or bluetooths you can roll in on wheels

I don't even mind the genre, but something about blaring trap music at 2pm on a beautiful sunny day at the park seems completely retarded (srs)

this is a really good question.. and it's really hard to say. it's not a black and white issue, that's for sure. sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's not, there are a lot of factors to consider.. personally I've found in my experience, the people that do it, have generally been good at reading the situation/scenario and have judged well that it was an appropriate time/place etc to play whatever genre of music at whatever volume. though, i'm sure there are people out there who have horror stories, however exaggerated or not

Yeah, we spent father's day with my folks and kids at a local fishing hole, family rolled up about 50 feet away from us and started blasting Hispanic music. They toned it down after a short time but was annoying. Usually the people that do this also have the worst taste in music as well.

just like i thought..all the socially awkward weird loner people all ganging up on cool people just trying to bring some life into our dreary world... oh but if they were playing your favorite bands you would have no problem with it.. ever thought of talking to them, trying to befriend them.. they probably would play your favorite bands for you but instead you'd rather sit back and look with your scornful eyes planning to rage about it on the internet later.. i think they should put all you into gas chambers

just gotta read the room and see if its worth it srs

i've had neighbors at previous places I lived hire actual DJs with speakers and chit, i told them to turn it way tf down on the bass that was rattling me and the manlet DJ didn't want smoke

it was all weird hipster people though srs none of them would have actually wanted to fight and i was clearly agitated as hell

wouldn't do that again depending on the room no shame, some battles in life are worth it and some are not
