3. If she really genuinely liked you, and was stillirrationallyparanoid about covid (see above), she'd just wait it until the cases die off even more.

You are all naive for believing her bs. The only alternative is she's nuts.
If she's saying No, then why are we going out again this week?

Should could have ghosted me (got back to me in 20 mins), told me "I'm just not feeling it", etc etc. Not hard to do, she's done it to dozens of other men.

Her dad did get the vaccine, but he's on immunosuppressants (thus immunocompromised) and as she said in the text they don't know effective the vaccine is while he's taking meds to turn down his overactive immune system.

Flu vaccine - fair, but we're not at that time of the year yet. I imagine she will be, because her concerns seem valid.

Honestly dude, if you had told us from the start that her dad was immuno-compromised, it would have changed some things. It seemed like she was bringing up the vax out of the clear blue, which made it look like just a convenient excuse not to see you again.

Good on you for getting another shot. She already likes you, so that's taken care of. Just knock it out of the park in bed this time. And make sure there's lube on hand. What do you plan on telling her about your vax plans now?

Hmm do you think she is dating you exclusively (IE not having vaxxed FWBs while dating you)?

Getting the vaccine is a personal choice, but the fact that you are going to get it early because you consider her feeling tells me that you are very considerate. That is good quality that a lot of girls are looking for. Don't change it just because someone calls you beta. Be selfless and think for others and willing to take risks is not beta, but alpha behavior.

No one guarantees relationships work. Even Bill Gates gets divorced. But if you give 100% effort you will have no regret. And if she let you go after you did this for her, that's her loss. I wish you two work out and get married in the end.

70+% percent of people are getting vaccinated. She won’t be the only one that feels this way, not worth significantly lowering your dating pool by not getting vaccinated

Yeah, minor detail I forgot to mention (sarcasm). But I also didn't realize it until later. Definitely not when we were texting on Monday.

As far as her asking me about my vax plans, I don't know yet. Haven't figured out what to say yet.

She told me she dates 1 guy at a time, but after she dumped me I know she's looking again. Honestly idc if she's talking to other guys, I'm talking to the girls now too. We've never brought up exclusivity and are probably at least a month away from that. Then maybe another month from meeting parents.

Thanks. Yeah I think in relationships you gotta bend and give a little. Can't be too rigid and like Nin said, "yep, not gonna change, deal with it, that's me XD." No one wants to be with someone like that.

It's crazy, after she dumped me, I wanted her more than ever. We'll see where it goes. Just riding this wave.

This is 100% correct and exactly what I'm thinking. I can skip her now because of this, but the problems are likely going to keep coming up with other women.

Lol If someone doesn't want to date me because I won't put an untested vaccine in my body then they can go F themselves.

as if we needed another reason to give up on dating in the current era. Imagine telling your girlfriend you would break up with her if she didn't get the HPV vaccine. I'm sure most women would flip.

Ye, idk what to say to you really. If you're kinda 50/50 on getting the shot anyway I guess just get it.

But it sounds like she's just on the fence with you. Not texting back quickly enough, and then the vax stuff. It all sounds like what someone on the fence would say.

It's only been 6 dates or whatever, but you seem over-invested compared to her. You'll know if she keeps 'discovering' more things that you're doing wrong.

Yeah I agree she's on the fence. I was surprised how quickly she was willing to walk because of me not texting back soon enough and/or not getting the vaccine. A bit of a warning sign.

That’s normal in the early stages of a relationship though. I mean if people hit your warning triggers and you don’t know them that well why would you override them?

So she was actually interested this whole time, but it came down to the vaccination and didn't bother to tell you? Or am I missing something...

I think she's just realizing how hard it is to date and now she's getting you to do things you don't want to do, even before dating.

I'd think about it this way. Say you get the vaccination to satisfy her and you stop talking a month from now, any regrets?

Agreed.

We analyze et al as best we can given what we're told but if you're confident in your ability to read a situation and communicate then at the end of the day you're probably the best person to make the call on how to handle the situation at hand.
Lots of people struggle with that though, especially when they want so badly for a specific outcome that is seeming unlikely.

If you really think this girl is "the one", or could be "the one", just get the vaccine. She's interested in you even after you called it off so there's no doubt that she's into you. And if you get the vaccine, it shows that you value her and her family. Since it seems like she's looking for more than a fling, it shows that you actually respect her.

She's already admitted that she values you and wants you in her life, so the risk of her walking away for "being a little bitch and getting vaccined for her" is minimal.

Also, this whole game of you trying not to act beta is beta in itself.

This.

I wouldn't get the vaccination solely for her, unless you REALLY think she's the kind of girl who's worth it. But it sounds like you were gonna get it anyways, and if that's the case, it seems like you guys can work it out.

As Lucifer said, if she starts throwing up other excuses after, then it'll be telling just how into you she is. Personally, I'm inclined to believe the vaccination issue is a legitimate concern for her, and not her sitting on the fence as claimed by others here. She was pretty direct with what her issue was and explained it, not just like "well you aren't vaccinated so that's a problem".

Glad we were able to help you clear things up with her...hopefully

Thanks guys for your help. Without this thread I would have just assumed she dumped me and it was over.

I asked her in follow up texts if it's workable, told her I'm not inflexible with the vaccine, and that if it ever got to the point where I'd meet her dad I would probably get the vaccine if I was going to be around someone regularly that's immunocompromised.

She said it is workable (she thought I was 100% against the vaccine) and that it "Definitely wouldn't hurt" to hang out again and get to know each other better and see where it goes.

I could screenshot them but there's really nothing to see...the main point is that we're getting together again tomorrow. See where it goes from there. And yeah, if she keeps setting up obstacles for me I'll know it isn't worth it long term.

EDIT: Also, I did think at the time she was bringing up the vaccine out of the clear blue. I didn't connect the dots until a couple days later.

There's nothing else to say. Go out with her again and update us. Let me reiterate again though, problems and issues coincidentally seem to magnify when the sex isn't good. I'm still not sure any of this would even be happening if you had taken care of business in bed.

We know she likes you, so the date is going to go well. She knows you're open to vaxxing. And she knows you will communicate better. Literally the only thing you have handle now is the sex. Buy some lube and concentrate on more foreplay to get her revved up, so you don't run into the issue you had before, and make sure you're prepped and on your game if you get her back to your place again.

Keep us updated.

P much this OP, looking forward to hearing some good updates hopefully.

I second the lube and more foreplay idea as well. Maybe rub a couple out next time before you see her just to be safe.

Thanks, will do.

Yeah I was living with regret given my bad performance last time. But given that she was open to "hanging out" again...maybe it wasn't that bad...? Dunno. Either way, she's giving me another chance.

Coming too fast isn't my problem. My problem is the opposite. Death grip syndrome from too much wanking in my earlier years...

It went well, lasted 3 hours. 90% of it was her talking and me listening, asking follow up questions, etc. We didn’t even talk about the “breakup” at all, it’s like it never even happened. Didn't talk about me getting vaxxed either.

At the end, she walked to my car (she wasn't parked close to me so idk) and hugged, kissed, etc. I didn’t offer to go back to my place at the end. BUT I did text her shortly after the date and said it was good to see her, glad we were able to reconnect. She got back to me right away, said her too, she had fun. We now have plans to meet up again next week. Nothing concrete, but I'll suggest a movie at my place.

IDK what age you both are but this sounds pretty immature, unless that conflict was completely resolved over text.
