NFL's first gay player

Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib became the first openly gay active NFL player after coming out in an Instagram video on Monday.

He said he'd be donating $100,000 to the Trevor Project — a nonprofit working in crisis intervention for LGBTQ young people.

Now that it's out opponents may use this against him. Imagine every sunday the other team talking xhit calling him a ****git and other things. Now, they may actually not hate gays and are totally cool with it but if it gets into his head and messes him up mentally, maybe causing some false starts or something. They will use it. Players will find a weakness and exploit it.

this is the best thing hes done for his career. now he will get TONS of media coverage for just running around on the field. guarantee you this guy can retire after next season and end up in the HoF.

He’s a mostly unknown DE with the top selling jersey in the NFL. He’s gonna make millions off this announcement. He’s 28 so he’s already on the back half of his career so being blackballed isn’t really a concern. Seems like it’s gonna end well for him.
