As much as I don't like the guy it was pretty obvious that he was using a fake avi and that he was consciously doing so. Since that's a very famous luchador I don't think he was ever seriously pretending to be him. On the other hand tho, he loves to pretend to be a rich white jew mexican while he's a dark skinned native.
Now don't take it the wrong way I'm not being racist, I love native mesoamerican cultures and archeology and I'm not saying one is worth more than the other. I'm just pointing out the sad fact that he pretends to be something he's not in a very racial society with deep rooted racial social hierarchies. SAD.
