fyi, you can still get the flu after the flu shot, tetanus, etc. chances are slim, but still possible. these vaccines, including covid, all have a 90%+ efficacy rate.

best thing to do is compare data between % of severe complications from covid and comp severe complications with vaccines. i think the result would have the vaccine winning, especially in certain demos.

Heart inflammation is just a normal and healthy side effect of the Pfizer, Moderna, J & J, and Astrazeneca covid-19 vaccines.
But I personally wouldn't worry about it too much, as they will disappear on their own... after the heart gives out.

Younger folks often have more aggressive nonspecific inflammatory activities would be my guess but honestly, there are tons of factors. Hard to say. Need more data. The CDC is studying this carefully. This is why they monitor all adverse events.

Incidentally, given this new info, it may change the importance of vaccinating children, but we will have to see. Most kids haven't been vaccinated yet. But the effect is still really rare.

it's not as if u take the vaccine and are guaranteed to get this heart issue

it's a rare occurrence and then of those rare occurrences 80% fully recover

the virus has long term issues is the main reason ppl want to vaxx kids

there's also a new variant, delta, that tends to get kids sicker tho the mortality isn't bad in absolute terms at all

J&J doesn't have these problems. I think these were seen in the Pfizer and Moderna ones. J&J had a higher incidence of blood clotting issues though. All the vaccines are generally safe with some adverse events, as is the case for all vavcines and all medical therapies, in general. As always, doctors weigh the costs and benefits and make their recommendations accordingly.
